Islam has many failings (ex: gender segregation, child marriage, restrictions on art and music,etc), but a materialistic paradise as rewards for restraint is more logical than hollow phrases about communion with the almighty father. Muhammad had a better understanding of human nature for better and worse than Christ and his disciples. It's also why Islam still reigns as the largest faith in regards to practicing believers.
