These kind of fantasies never make any sense. Early 20th century the cities were filling up with poor desperate illiterate former-peasant factory workers with whom the Kaiser and the Lutheran Church and the aristocracy were totally out of touch. These people were going to adopt either socialism or fascism as their new religion, there was no "moderate" wholesome third path.
