If the lend lease was so important, why didnt Great Britain beat Hitler??
Why didn't we see the Union Jack in Berlin?
.
Most of the American Lend-Lease program was in fact destined for the United Kingdom, totaling approximately US$31.4 billion of the US$50 billion distributed in total.
Program Details
• United Kingdom: Received the largest share (US$ 31.4 billion) to support its war effort after being nearly isolated against Germany.
• Soviet Union: It was the second largest beneficiary, receiving approximately US$11.3 billion in crucial supplies such as trucks, trains, and raw materials.

Might it be because the soviet union had a ridiculous pool of military and industrial manpower to make use of that lend lease, and britain didn't`?
Seriously. That question is so stupid. Like a 14 year old hears "lend lease important, britain got more, but soviet union won, how come". Rub your brain cells together anon.

Even ww2 most prominent economic historian Mark Harrison emphasise that the Soviets would likely have prevailed without L-L since the majority arrived by later part of 1943, by then the Soviets had already achieved their most critical victories. Anons who keeps citing L-L as 'the reason' for Soviet victory has never read a single book on the eastern front since they're completely oblivious to the sheer transformation of the Red Army from having been nothing but an incompetent political party branch when it fought in Finland, into being one of the most sophisticated military in the world by the time they launched Bagration, using Deep Operation and Maskirovka far better than the Germans ever could.

But without L-L, the war in the east would have been far more grim, stale and likely more bloody since neither side had the means for huge momentum.
The main idea behind L-L to the Soviets from American perspective was keep the Wehrmacht focused on the east, away from the west, so without L-L to the Soviets, the wehrmacht can deploy more divisions and resources in the west, which also means a more bloody war for the Americans, which also means a longer war, which eventually means the bomb is used on Germany after all.

Basically no L-L means a longer and bloody war for virtually everyone.

Pic rel is a great book on just how the Red Army transformed itself during the course of ww2.

what would the Axis equivalent of L-L be?

It worked. When the US landed in France, they were up against the German Boy Scouts, among others.

>Prevailed
In what sense? As in preventing a total German conquest, for sure by 43’ the Soviets achieved that. Yet without Lend Lease the offensives of 44-45’ would lack the logistics that made them so decisive, Germany could have very well bled the Soviets to stalemate while sitting on their territory. L-L allowed the Soviets to be a victor in the war, otherwise they would have just survived it.

GB got more finished goods, but the SU got more raw materials, which is what they really needed. Without lend-lease, they would've had to go the whole war without an air force. Regardless, the retards who claim lend-lease won the war are illiterates who are completely missing the point. Lend-lease was just one part of the combined Anglo-American contribution, which included the equally important land and air campaigns against the Axis powers in Europe.

Yes, that's pretty much what I meant to say.
I literally said that without L-L, the war in the east would have become stale since neither side would have had decisive offensive capability to overcome the other.

But it would also have meant that Germany can deploy greater force to the west, which was the true purpose of L-L for Americans: To maintain the Red Army as an active force in order to force the Wehrmacht to concentrate against it rather than the west

For every German soldier shooting at a Russian soldier, is one less German soldier shooting at an American soldier.
