The eternal debate
>>
>>18720693
It’s only a debate to those who do not understand what true faith actually means. Being produces behavior; behavior doesn’t produce being. If you need to act to show that you believe, you, in fact, do not believe. But if you act because you do believe, then your works actually are evidence of that faith.
>>
>>18720693

NOT A DEBATE, BUT RATHER, PROTESTANTISTIC NESCIENCE.

FAITH, AND ACTS, ARE MUTUALLY COMPLEMENTARY, NOT MUTUALLY ANTITHETICAL.
>>
>>18720699
If a guy was sucking Shiva's lingam that's idolatry. His act shows you that he does not believe and someone stopping him is evidence that this person believes
>>
>>18720703
The outward act does not change the inward being; it reveals it. That is exactly what I said. Someone who does evil cannot be good because, in doing evil, they reveal their inward being. It is not, "They were good but did evil"; they are evil, and their evil is evidence that they are evil. "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit."
>>
>>18720703
>>18720705
"A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of."
>>

>The outward act does not change the inward being; it reveals it.
No you have to remain in God's love by following his commandments. Let's take a look at Isaiah 57:7–8, it says they have deserted God because of their idolatry. Meaning there was a point in time where they did not do that and their later actions caused them to abandon God
>>
>>18720713
You do not follow the commandments as rules and therefore are good; you stay within the commandments naturally because you are good, and you find them true. Religion and true faith are not the same.
>>
>>18720715
You can't follow commandments naturally, they depend on divine revelation. There would also be no reason for the biblical God to use rape as punishment for breaking them.
>>
>>18720720
Then you do not know Jesus. Go read His words. Anyone who treats the law in this way is like the Pharisees: “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.”
>>
>>18720725
I did read his words he preaches obedience to the law and says people like your false apostle are doomed to hell
>Anyone who treats the law in this way is like the Pharisees
Or in other words non Paulians. Jesus told his followers to listen to their teachings and made them the measure of righteousness. Their evil was the hypocrisy not their teachings. The fact of the matter is the bible uses rape as literal punishment for abandoning the laws. If the biblical God just wanted us to magically arrive at goodness without obedience then there would never be consequences as direct as "I will give their wives to other men"
>>
>>18720731
Then I’ll be burning in hell with Paul, I guess. I guess this is what we deserve for actually wanting to be transformed into the likeness of Christ, so that we live by the law naturally instead of just outwardly obeying a law and calling it a day. The first reveals true love; the second reveals programming.

You'd rather burn in hell than listen to the man you believe is your God? And all of this just because he met some demon who told him to become lawless? No thanks I'd rather go with his actual disciples
>>
>>18720751
Tell me then: which works was it that made Jesus turn to the thief on the cross and say, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise"? It was faith.
>>
>>18720751
I have told you many things I have learned from the Father, and if you still choose to reject the word I have delivered to you, know that there is no excuse. You have heard it, and you have seen. What then will you say to Him when He asks you about condemning me and Paul to hell? This is where I stop.
>>
>>18720755
I don't believe this happened but for the sake of argument let's take a look at the context just before that
>39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!”
Notice how someone who believes Jesus was the Messiah expected him to be saved from this punishment. That's because the earlier scriptures do say the Messiah will be saved and even Satan knew of this when he attempted to tempt Jesus
>40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”
The man in question admitted the error of his ways (that's repentance and it's a work) and also tried to correct the other man (another work) as well as recognize Jesus was innocent of what they accused him.
>42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.*
*Some manuscripts come with your kingly power, because the Messiah was expected to rule and not be humiliated on the cross. The man who would have been with Jesus in paradise also never denied that Jesus would be saved he still expected him to unleash his power. And even if we take the other manuscripts it still does not contradict him being saved because Jesus was raised to the heavens
>>
>>18720759
I'm not the one condemning you to hell. Jesus says this of anyone who abandons the laws. Now tell me what will you do when you meet him and he rejects you for your lawlessness
>>
Lots of rodents in this thread who will burn because they trust in rodent works.

Paul invented Christianity, so I guess his opinion is the right one.
>>
>>18720705
>Someone who does evil cannot be good

>Mark 10:18
>And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.

>Isaiah 64:6
>And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags

You just revealed yourself as having the spirit of the Antichrist.

>>

is jesus the antichrist too because he said things like:

"A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of."

in saying what you said you proved that you do not know him

1 John 3:17
If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
>>
>>18720693
Are you seriously calling the apostles trannies?
Enjoy hell and have fun burning.
>>

IDK why he included John when John said:
>Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

Paul is the only person advocating not doing what God commands.

Paul should be on both sides if you're not willing to doubt the usual way these words are interpreted.
