>get up in the morning
>walk the streets of blessed Constantinople
>I ask the baker for bread
>he replies: "Christ is of same substance as the Father"
>what?
>I ask the shopkeeper for change
>"the father is greater, the son is less."
>...sure?
>go to the palace
>ask Theodosius what should we do about the barba-
>"The son was created from NOTHING. NOTHING."
>murmiring EX. NIHILO. EX NIHILO. loudly
>Τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ὅταν [my face when]

this is getting silly

Why is that wrong

explain to me what doesn't seem wrong about splitting cristemdom in half because they can't agree if they should use the word homoosion or homoision. It's stupid.

It's clearly homoosion btw
>>
The Son is homousios with the Father. There is a certain sense in which the Son is *contingent* on the Father, but in a wholly different respect than creation is contingent. The Son is not created from nothing, he is eternally subsistent *in* the Father, as the hypostasis of his Word. He depends on the Father for his personal existence as a hypostasis, but since by nature he fully and perfectly shares the Father's essence, he has aseity. The Son, then, is uncreated but he is also gennetos (begotten). This is different than the homoiousians who said the Son is neither created nor uncerated, but that he occupies a sort of middle position. For the homousian, the Son is entierly uncreated. When discussing the begotteness of the Son, then, it is important to distinguish between what we mean when we say creation is contigent and when we say the Son is contingent.

Everything and nothing are the same thing in the beginning. Its an irrelevant question without context or purpose to drive the selection from omnipotence.

>homoosion
Yes. It is the same. Not similar.

>Waiting around in the forum of constantine to close a business deal
>Notice an icon of the Theotokos hanging above the entryway of a building
>Tell a passing monk that they really ought to comply with the seventh ecumenical council and remove that
>He accuses me of being Armenian and starts throwing pebbles at me.
>A group of blues start shoving me around so I book it back home
>Call in a favor with my cousin and get an audience with the city prefect
>Still have to wait in line for several hours and pay his eunuch secretary half a month's wages to see him
>He tells me he can't do anything unless I have three witnesses willing to publicly denounce him
Oh, so we're just ignoring ecumenical councils now. Cool. If the Saracens sack the city it's deserved at this point.

The people who say homoousian and the people who say homoiousian believe in different gods
>>
>>18721893
Similar gods, same God.
>>
Promote the baker
Burn the other two as heretics
>>
Imagine needing a password just to buy bread because everyone has a different Christology.

ITS THEOTOKOS NIGGAS
