Reminder that only 33% of the German population voted for the NSDAP in the last real democratic election.

Also reminder that the German population were generally appalled by the "Night of Broken Glass" attack on jews in 1938, that Göbbels propaganda machine had to work overtime to damage-control it. All extermination camps were purposely placed outside of Germany, away from the German population.
>>
>>18721295
Look at them.
What a bunch of freaks the Nazi leadership was. Look at the arrogance, they deserved their fate.
>>

The Ernst vom Rath protests were mostly peaceful.

It was closer to 38%

>Your pic literally confirms the number.
In a referendum the NSDAP got more than 40% of votes whereas if you include the DNVP then far-right Nationalists easily got more than half of the vote. If the German public hated fascism so much they would've simply protest-voted for a different party.
>but muh voter intimidation and violence
KPD did that too notoriously. Hospitals segregated victims of political violence by wound type. Stab wound? Fascist-inflicted, probably. Bludgeons and bruises? Communist-inflicted, probably.
>>
>>18721348
>In a referendum the NSDAP got more than 40%
Clearly shows 33% tho.

>if you include the DNVP
Why would you?
DNVP were hardcore bourgeoisie junker monarchists, a category Hitler hated and spends half of Mein Kampf ranting about.
Stop scraping the barrel for an argument.
The socialist parties combined got more votes than the NSDAP in the last free and fair election.

>If the German public hated fascism so much
Why are you trying to gaslight a point that wasnt made?
Or does this topic trigger you because it challenges the enforced narrative?
>>
>>18721348
>KPD did that too notoriously.
Not even a point made.

But yes, state and mob intimidation during election is not free and fair election, regardless of what banana republic you're from. We have endless examples of how the UN has declared an election illegal in X african country because they used the same methods as the nazies did.
>>
>>18721356
>The socialist parties combined got more votes than the NSDAP in the last free and fair election.

Hitler did not pass the Enabling Act until March 23rd, 1933. He did not declare authoritarianism until then. He was Chancellor in January 30th 1933, and elections ran normally until the Enabling Act was passed due to a commie setting the Reichstag on fire on February 27, 1933 because commies were seething Paul Von Hindenburg appointed Hitler as chancellor. The March 5th, 1933 election was "the last real democratic election" where the NSDAP won 43.91% of the votes, not muh "33%". Now gas yourself you disingenuous kike.

Irrelevant because the way the election was conducted would have made it be declared illegal by virtually every single election observation insitution today. You're probably unfamilar with this topic, but a lot of African states uses the exact same tactics that the NSDAP used in the 1933 election.

I dont know where the disconnect in your brain occures when you read this. Try to comprehend it.

It's hard to tell whether you're a /pol/chud who seethe at anyone trying to delegitimize the NSDAP, or if you're a reddit freak who seethe at anyone who challenge the enforced narrative that "they were all nazies".

Either way, you're definetly one of them since you're extremely low IQ and uneducated since you actually believed the 1933 election was free and fair.
>>
>>18721423
>seethe at anyone trying to delegitimize the NSDAP
the most annoying thing about these types imo is that by latching themselves to hitlers schizo worldview they are unable to develop actual opinions on anything without trying to shoehorn in jews or whatever.
>>
>>18721462
Yes.
But it's also a 50/50 chance he is a reddit freak who got completely taken aback by this elementary school information because his enforced space has fried his brain, since you're only allowed to declare that the NSDAP had the majority vote and thus the German population "were all nazies".
Either way he is a fucking retard. You flip the coin.

Anybody can get 90 percent of the vote if you make voting for other people illegal, that's easy.
>>
>>18721295
The situation is that hitler placated the corporatists and industrialists who were alway ready to go to war constantly because that was necessary to maintain the narrow coalition lead by a mob of obedient bloodthirsty middle class bourgeois German corporatists and the situation is that the Germans are pathetic and ought to have revolted long before during the nineteenth century
>>

>>
>>18721554
The last election depicted there was actually a ballot that asked whether you liked the Nazi government and it said “yes” and “no” and if it said no you had to publicly state so and you were shamed by your neighbors. That’s entirely accurate btw
>>

Majority of people who voted NSDAP did so because of the economy.

Americans unironically has a clear cut example of someone being elected into office to fix the economy, and then immediately starts to target domestic communists and brand them as terrorists, starts brutalizing minorities with special police, wants to annex territory and goes off to start a war.
I mean im not comparing Trump to Hitler or America to NS-Germany (only in the vague context mentioned), I am just making a point that the pattern isnt completely alien.
>>

>>

>> target domestic communists and brand them as terrorists,

‘Antifa’ are terrorists and have committed enough dangerous actions to be wary of anyone sporting the Antifa logo.

> starts brutalizing minorities with special police,

Eisenhower also was a Nazi for Operation Wetback then.

> wants to annex territory and goes off to start a war.

Trump threatening a war and making appeals to Albertans to secede is nothing compared to Biden and Obama’s drone strikes, foreign policy like Arab spring, funding the Azovs and sanctioning half the developing world.

I am not saying I like the stupidity of the Iran war and Hormuz blockade but in perspective, the old administrations were worse warmongers but had better PR.

The only real comparison between Trump and Hitler is “ran a capitalist nation with authoritarian elements and imprisoned far leftist groups Antifa/ KPD who were hosting street fights and harming civilians.”

Canada is in leftist terms a “settler state” anywaus so I don’t see how all the Left became rabid Canada nationalists (no one is illegal in stolen land???) to combat the DRUMOF.
>>
>>18721599
Relax, I was just making a point about the economy vote
>>
>>18721607
Biden is a way closer analogy to Hitler. He used Trump’s tariffs as an economic excuse to consolidate power. Biden is basically an Axis leader but in the 21st century
>>
>>18721610
People did not overwhelmingly vote for Biden to fix the economy like they did with Trump after the Biden administration.

Is this the new tactic? Lying by omission?

Ah yes, le ebil natzis were behind the Reichstag Fire Decree---

>Reichstag Fire Decree was issued on February 28 [by Paul von Hindenburg on 28 February 1933].

>Whoever provokes, appeals for, or incites disobedience of the orders given out by the highest state authorities or authorities subject to them for the execution of this decree, or the orders given by the Reich government according to § 2, can be punished—insofar as the deed is not covered by other decrees with more severe punishments—with imprisonment of not less than one month, or with a fine from 150 to 15,000 reichsmarks.

>Whoever endangers human life by violating § 1 is to be punished by sentence to a penitentiary, under mitigating circumstances with imprisonment of not less than six months and, when the violation causes the death of a person, with death, under mitigating circumstances with a penitentiary sentence of not less than two years. In addition, the sentence may include the confiscation of property.

>Whoever provokes or incites an act contrary to the public welfare is to be punished with a penitentiary sentence, under mitigating circumstances with imprisonment of not less than three months.

>1. Anyone who undertakes to kill the Reich President or a member or a commissioner of the Reich government or of a state government, or provokes such a killing, or agrees to commit it, or accepts such an offer, or conspires with another for such a murder;

>2. Anyone who under Section 115, paragraph 2, of the Criminal Code (serious rioting) or of Section 125, paragraph 2, of the Criminal Code (serious disturbance of the peace) commits these acts with arms or cooperates consciously and intentionally with an armed person;

>3. Anyone who commits a kidnapping under Section 239 of the Criminal Code with the intention of making use of the kidnapped person as a hostage in the political struggle.
>>

>Ah yes, le ebil natzis were behind the Reichstag Fire Decree---
Yes they were, Hindenburg issued it at Hitler's behest and the Decree was countersigned by Hitler. Stop it with this blatsnt dishonesty and misdirection.

Some black bloc guy who waves a sign around that hurts con feefees isn’t terrorism, but the constant histrionics from the cons over everything really does go to explain why a third of Germany supported Hitler and used violence to cow the remaining voters. Makes me wonder if there’s any way to treat conservative/reactionary hysteria medically.

It's a common historical knowladge that nazis were losing support in late 1932, when the Allies forgived them reparations and the great depression started dying out, that's why they struck backroom deal with Hindenburg and then established dictatorship by force
Antisemitism wasn't really popular too, nazis had to cancel their boycot of Jewish shops after a day because most germans didn't care about it and keep buying stuff in them
