>>18721373because faith in paganism is 100% about aesthetics than knowledge./thread (not interested in faggot paganism saying anything else)
>>18721373OutnumberedMost of Christianity is for the Shudras/Lower casteWhile paganism is form the Kshatriyas/Higher casteThe Shudras was co opted by outside forces and rebelled against the natural order; the fruits of this rebellion is the coming state of Europe
>>18721373>norse paganism:>"convert or don't. We're all trapped in the cycle of death and rebirth until we can make ourselves worthy of standing at Odin's side in Valhol.">christianity:>"convert literally right now or little red imp dudes with pitchforks are going to poke and prod you while you burn in magical lava. Forever. No you cannot stop the imps by being a good person or giving to charity or whatever, glaze Jesus NOW or roast."
Modern paganism = “my entire identity is I hate Jews”
>>18721857The other side of that:>Norse paganism>the only way to get into Valhalla is to die in combat>Christianity>all you have to do to get into heaven is to ask God to forgive your sins
>>18721883Just because it sounds good does not make it correct
>>18721883>the only way to get into Valhalla is to die in combatIt's a metaphor about the virtue in fighting against natures hostilities, becoming "worthy" through noble resistance & overcoming the odds stacked against us.To survive requires us to have strength and fight, at times, for our own life and the lives of people we care about. That was way-of-life for our ancestors.Self-sacrifice is it's own form of combat. It's a philosophical concept packaged into mythology, not meant to be taken so literally. Odin was more so a god of magic than he was a god of war. His planet is Mercury, not Jupiter(Thor)!
>>18721949>It's a metaphorCope
>>18721373in europe?well, pagans were just rural people while christian converts were civiscity had the bulk of the military. christian kingdoms kept terrorizing pagans until conversioncatholic church then educated them into christianity and other shitsome of the last "pagans" to be converted were actually not pagans but non-christian cities that were also terrorizing others. once they became "christians" they genocided the pagans rather than educated them. the enrichment allowed to develop technologies. after the schism, these christians became the protestantsit's 2026, it's an interconnected world but these "christians" are still terrorizing others
>>18721373Paganism doesn't have a central religious authority, they don't have an equivalent of a Church body or Pope. Pagan tradition is personal in nature, you might have superstitions and religious beliefs that are exclusive to only your family and nobody else, in contrast to Christianity being social and evangelical in nature, and having a central text to canonize its beliefs. It's a shame that Christianity completely destroyed these more personal aspects of religion, but at the same time it's inevitable that a religion as highly centralized as Christianity is would overtake what was essentially thousands of smaller religions under a banner.
Which religion tells the best story? Despite some obvious competition from Buddhism, Christianity is the clear winner. The Pagan worldview was often very dour, cynical, and fatalistic, while Christianity's focus is overwhelming on the good news of Salvation. Christianity was also just very well organized and capable of incorporating all of the best aspects of Paganism anyway.
>>18722100The best parts of the Bible are the Jewish parts to be honest. The NT is just the apostles glazing Jesus for hundreds of pages. If not for Revelation, the NT would pretty much be as dry and weightless as the Book of Mormon
>>18722100>"Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”>every single person who heard Christ speak these words died a violent death>he still hasn't returned 1,900 years laterI'd say Christianity is a pretty grim story, desu senpai.
>>18722108Protestants always liked the OT more because they were Teutons and the Germanic soul longs for the age of Bronze when the world was still raw, violent, and unformed. But it's not Pagan; the New Testament is right there in the Old. And Westerners are combination of Germanic and Romance cultures, so if you can't appreciate both you've become mongrelized; that Mediterranean sensitivity is missing from you.
>>18722108Hard No. The OT is just history of Judea-Israel. Most of the pedagogical elements come from the NT. Id say 90% of the sins liberal Christians commit, Paul probably addressed in his epistles.
>>18721378ancient pagan traditions produced plenty of serious theologians and philosophers
>>18721373Because they were ignorant hillbillies, and what they said about the world wasn’t true.
>>18721373A thing to remember about this is that like all modern Protestants are Pagans, and that especially not to ever trust murderous Lutherans about anything and to always at least have Anabaptist support when dealing with Protestant spell-caster units
>>18721373It didnt BBC is their god and the body is the altar, as pic related reveals garbed in religious vetements.
One might assume it is because Christians were a community that worked together whereas with paganism the town over had their own Gods and customs. However this was not the case in Rome where Emperors were deified. The plain fact of the matter is an organized religion with books is going to be taken more seriously than a marvel/DC superhero pantheon. You have all these edgelords here saying "reading's for fags", but these are just the same people who were acting like 13 year olds when everyone was turning 16/17 and thinking about college and getting a girlfriend, just as adults and shitposting on 4chan. No one actually cares about being called a "nerd" except angst teenagers. Something similar happened in pagan communities when the Christian missionaries arrived, they had a choice of remaining a tribal backwater like Africa or joining civilization.
>>18721373Reminder that Odin listened to and learned from POC women.
>>18721373Christianity took hold of the dominant power of Europe at that moment. They owned the trade routes, and used tactics like forcing the non christian holds to pay more and more for commerce when they couldn't get away with straight up violence and desecration of sacred old folk faith places. It's simple as that.TLDR. Christians took control of a previously pagan power, and bullied other pagans into converting.
>>18721373God is real and he's a jew that hates EVROPA.>>18721378>aesthetics than knowledge.Christcucks have zero knowledge and only apologetics, Pagan Greeks had science that was superior than anything in the middle ages.
