I guess there’s no way to make this thread without having it seem to some extent political but I really would prefer to be as serious and academic as possible.
Between the Cold War, the rise of Israel, the collapse of the Soviet Union, the 21st century refugee crises and the recent wars in Ukraine and Gaza it really does feel (at least to me) that there is something of a quite reassessment of his legacy transpiring of late.
If nothing else I would certainty say in the Islamic world over the last several decades this revaluation has taken place.
Even in the west though there’s been stirrings.
There was that weird instance where the Canadian legislature gave a standing ovation to an SS officer who fought
>”In defense of Ukrainian Sovereignty”
back in 1943.
The wars in the Middle East it can certainly be said at this late have infact caused a rise in anti-semitism in the west.
Do you guys think this trajectory will carry on into the 21st century?
Will we look on him one day in much the same way we look back on much less morally charged figures like Napoleon??
>>
Yes, people are starting to realize he was right and was the good guy of WW2.

His one lasting and original contribution to Germany is that he gave the German environmentalist movement legal legs to stand on.

Without the Austrian dictator, the Germans would be drinking industrial sludge and German judges would still be like: "Lol. Lamo." whenever somebody complains about it in court.

Other than that, he can't even hope to reach Attaturk's tier because the rest of his legacy was completely dismantled within what could have been his lifetime, had he not an hero'd.

Inside of academic circles? No.
Outside, in the increasingly brown world that doesn't give a fuck if Whitey killed Whities (Big Nose)? Why would they give a shit lmao

Shitler was a British spy working for the Anglo-Rothschild bankster cartel. That is all he will be remembered as
>>
Will he ever be viewed as a "good" guy or even "misunderstood"? No. It was quite clear that he was a dictator, that he is responsible for the deaths of millions, and that he is 'largley' responsbile for the war (even if some arguments can be made regarding the circumstances).

Will he be viewed with more nuance because TV has lost its monopoly and generations today grow up on the internet that naturally increases pluralism of ideas and information? Definetly.

Personally I'm inclined to agree with what the other anon said (even if it was just a shitpost), that European demographic change has shifted the attitude since many of these people come from cultures where the ww2 mythos isnt as strong or barely exist. It's mostly maintained by white boomers who still chimp out if you even talk about ww2 from a nuanced perspective
>>
No, he'll stay a shallow idiot.

But people will continue to grow in rejecting jewish privilege.

He was a British agent. ww2 was engineered by Anglo-Saxon banking families
