Muslims, Christians, Jews involved in apologetics they often have hours and hours a day to stand there engaged in religious debates and sit on podcasts for 8 hours a day discussing religious disagreements. Usually religious people have large families, right? so how are they having the time to raise children, work, study etc and do this all day?

It depends on what you mean. There's religious scholars who are sustained through religious institutions who study their religious texts as a job basically. There's also plenty of people who aren't religious that debate god with others online for free all day.

And obviously the vast majority of people do not do this, only a very small minority and that minority are often being paid to go to debates and run podcasts. The people arguing all day on 4chan, Twitter, Facebook, etc are often just mentally unstable NEETs, both the atheists and theists.

It is a fun, inexpensive, moderate-effort hobby though, and if you're motivated by participating in arguments you can easily keep learning interesting new things bit by bit.It's unfortunate that more useful subjects don't also have endless hordes of people of all knowledge and skill levels willing to argue about them all the time, or I might feel better about spending much of my time this way. Though I guess, for society's sake, it's better that some topics are comparatively settled.

At the bottom you have unemployed Chuds like what has already been said, but most apologists you see on podcasts are literally being paid by their respective Church under the guise of evangelism
