He was given a Semitic name at birth, by his Jewish parents who also had Semitic names. After Jesus died, Christianity was reformed by Jewish Church Fathers (apostles) and they sought to hide its original Semitic identifiers, transliterating them with Greco-Roman & Latin variations. The bible provides no historical context for any of its own various reformations. The end product is a badly written mythology about the savior of Jews giving ethical teachings about charity and repentance. "Jesus" never said that goyim deserve salvation, that was a later invention of ""gospel"" which came decades after he was already dead in the ground.
