Europeans first colonized large parts of Africa and Asia. Later, Europeans colonized the United States, often through the displacement and killing of Native Americans. Europeans also forcibly transported millions of Africans to the Americas through the transatlantic slave trade.

Nowadays, some Americans blame Black and Asian people for taking their jobs, which has contributed to racism and discrimination against these communities. The irony is that the country is called the United States of America—but where is the “united” part?

At the same time, some Black and Asian migrants are illegally immigrating to Europe. From a historical perspective, someone might jokingly describe this as an “UNO reverse” on the injustices and exploitation of previous centuries.
