True.
>last part to be conquered by England
>origin of the dynasty which produce the most high kings
>best mythology
>largest body of water
>coolest provincial gaelic symbol (red hand)
>home of some of the most famous leaders in Gaelic Irish history; Hugh O'Neill, Hugh O'Donnell, Shane O'Neill
>home of Saint Patrick's cathedral, historically the centre of Christianity in Ireland
>stronghold of the irish patriot movement
>birthplace of modern Irish nationalism
>birthplace of the late 20th century revival of irish republicanism
>home of the two best cities in ireland (belfast and derry)
>most anti-israel part of western europe

Runner-up is obviously Munster, then Connacht, then Le*nster but Ulster rules supreme.

I really don’t like these people

>speak language of “oppressor”
It was the sole language of any meaningful political, cultural, or economic institution in Ireland since the 18th Century. Mongolot Irish speaking communities were mostly impoverished villages by then.
>”free” for a hundred years now, no serious attempts to reclaim their old language
There absolutely has been an attempt, just a botched one. In a country rife with political+economic instability in the mid 20th Century, replacing a language *everyone* already speaks with one that almost nobody does isn't high on most people's priorities.

Unlike other language revivals (Hebrew is usually invoked) there was already a single language spoken by everyone. Ireland was still in the Empire until almost 1950, anon; everything was tied to English.
>rely on “oppressors” for their entire national security
The ROI is a successor to the Irish Free State. They have no meaningful geopolitical enemies and are heavily opposed to anything that would upset Britain too much.
>leech off of EU for decades, now when EU needs help they act all high and mighty like the EU never did anything for them
That's based.

hilarious how IRL the average Londoner or Liverpudlian or Mancunian in England probably has a neutral or positive view of the Irish (who he might also be a descendant of) but irl it's always this Balkan tier shit banter

We've got our ups and downs. I'm born and bred Irish myself and it's sad seeing the current state of the country and the absolute lack of backbone and initiative everyone has here. I've seen lads take the piss out of Americans with Irish ancestry coming to learn about the culture and history and then later go on about how Mohamed is just as Irish as me or members of my family who fought and died for our independence. They want the Brits out and the browns in for whatever retarded reason. Presumably due to absorbing the bleeding heart liberalism from the Americans and other Europeans.
The distinct laziness and "ah, sure it'll be grand" attitude is currently the biggest flaw in the Irish character. We'll be proper fucked living in a third world shithole if it doesn't change soon.

I am Irish and I lived in Manchester for several years, I didn't notice any particular like or dislike for the Irish in Manchester compared to anywhere else in Britain. But I would always get a warm reception in Liverpool or from Liverpudlians I met elsewhere.
The only people I would met anywhere in Britain who would ever be anti-Irish are Glaswegians.

>I've seen lads take the piss out of Americans with Irish ancestry coming to learn about the culture and history and then later go on about how Mohamed is just as Irish as me or members of my family who fought and died for our independence.
That pisses me off so much.
Especially since if you go to America or Canada the Irish diaspora will bend over backwards to help you out, it's like being in the Jews.

I think Collins and Mulcahy-had they been allowed to-could have built a truly good Irish Republic. I know leftists tend to hate Collins him because muh Treaty but ultimately he did the best he could and then some.

He and Mulcahy were an incredible duo.

So when people think of Michael Collins, they think of the man who "lead" the IRA's campaign during the War of Independence. Of course, for a decentralised army like the IRA no one man can actually "lead" it, but instead a well oiled machine of people all over the country allow it to thrive.

Collins:
>Director of Intelligence
Organised the intelligence war, placed spies, co-ordinated broad goals and strategies for Flying Columns to tackle, and was more or less the road to which almost all IRA operational roads lead back to; if Collins didn't order an action, he likely informed the man who did.
>Minister for Finance
Collins was also one of the main logistical heads, running money and arms throughout the "underground Republic" to ensure the IRA had the means to keep up the fight against what was essentially an enemy with unlimited resources.

Mulcahy was the other side of the coin; Collins was broad strokes, Mulcahy was fine details.
>Decentralised command structure
Mulcahy was hugely responsible for "standardising" how the IRA operated even as it decentralised completely, making it a very efficient force but one that was impossible to "drive out" in one fell swoop.
>General Administration
The war was run from a billion offices and safehouses all over Ireland, and Mulcahy was closely involved with their maintenance; the ability for the IRA's "command" to set up shop basically anywhere at a moment's notice is something he worked hard to do.

A reddit way to put it is that Collins was the sword and Mulcahy was the pen. Collins' death blackpilled Mulcahy which is likely what drove him to be so ruthless in the civil war, which is mostly why he isn't as fondly remembered.

The Orange Order are a miniscule group in England, so much so that I bet you the average English person outside those cities genuinely doesn't have a clue they even exist within England and they probably always thought it was some weird Northern Irish only thing.
Their existence in the Liverpool area owes itself to the fact that Liverpool is literally the main hub of Irish immigration and their diaspora in the UK.
>>
>>18734576
Kinda funny how this phenomen isn't as pronounced in Australia despite Australia being choke full of Irish descendants and present day immigrants.
Like we're literally descended from Fenian Convicts, but something like NORAID and pro-IRA gun runners never happened here, while the Americans were delivering Armalites and all sorts of funds

Is it true that there are still AR-10s and AR-15s floating around Ireland among private owners even today?

All those murals on the right are in Ulster and painted by people from Ulster. As much as they’d like it to be true "Ulster" does not mean "Protestant Brit ziogoy country", it is merely the northernmost province of Ireland
>>
>>18737150
Yes, the opposite side of the spectrum is what I refer to. The Unionists are extremely pro-Israel, but far more politically inept.

Israel was called a "Loyal little Jewish Ulster" by Britain for a reason, basically just a golem to maintain their interests in the area. Israel pours money into Unionist parties because they hate the Irish, but they forget that the largest Unionist party as so addicted to corruption that they just swallow it and move on.
