How did Pepsi win the Cola wars? Was it objectively better than Coca Cola?

When did pepsi win?

Interesting topic and I don’t know if we really need this. Probably not.
Coke changed its flavor in America to high fructose corn syrup only after a while because “it’s cheaper than using sugar and water” and I could tell when I was about 16 when I used to drink a coke every day. It basically went from tasting like water and something refreshing to tasting like you are drinking something syrupy. But the good part? Everything did this. Not just coke. So then you started having stuff like people abandoning regular soda anyway for diet and for Coke Zero which also again changes the flavor’s aftertaste you are going to get. After enough time people discovered Mexican Coke is still making cane sugar and water coke in glass bottles. This is still the best and I would never drink anything else. Mexican cokes are still additive and I actually find I need one the next day after having it. Sugar just has that effect on the body. My stomach says “where is it? I need it again.” But it doesn’t have that same effect with what they did reducing the amount of water in it. It just makes you stop drinking it entirely. Because of this we tend to buy six Mexican cokes and keep them in the fridge and sneak one in the movie theatre and have it with popcorn. It’s the only way it makes sense and the stars align in perfection with everything else. I always liked Pepsi, too, but coke was always the best.

Having a more powerful navy allowed Pepsi to secure more overseas trade.

Pepsi unironically did win the cola wars in Quebec because they were able to position themselves as the Francophone man's cola while coke stands for Anglo tyranny.

>How did Pepsi win the Cola wars?

"Coca-Cola leads the U.S. carbonated soft drink market with a significant share of 44%. In contrast, Pepsi holds a smaller share of approximately 25%. This disparity highlights Coca-Cola's dominance in the cola category."

They won among every minority except the ones who drink RC Cola. Indeed even the memelord and the gamer drink Pepsi products.
