what can spain do for latinxistan now lol, ship them their excess population of moroccans and other nafris
>>
>>18735707
Not even that, Spain has actually been recieving more migration from Latin America than ever before, in fact, the current goverment even passed a law called "Ley de Nietos" that would allow anyone with Spanish Ancestry to gain Spanish Citizenship and Vote

Just ask the bongs how much izzat they've earned from south asia by letting jeets and pakis move there en-mass kek

the spanish used 80% of the gold to invest in their colonies, building infrastructure like universities, hospitals, and aqueducts, many of which are unesco

the remaining 20% was used to protect europe and catholicism from islamic aggression

spain's bankruptcy was due to their generosity, not greed, contrary to what you learned in history class
>>
>>18735743
No, tostiloco, your net income after tax is not 'the government investing in building infrastructure'. The royal fifth was just a tax for the spanish government to spend as it pleased, the remaining 80% was not spent on internal improvements/economic development outside the sense any private/household expenditure contributes to economic development

The Spanish republicans gave it all to the USSR in return for support in the civil war.

Columbus was Italian and the friend he provided the Carib girl to rape to was a fellow Italian named Michele de Cuneo.

I don't get why you retards think he was Spanish. He was Columbus's childhood friend as the text says and Columbus was born and raised in Italy.

And they'll never give it back, hue.

30–40% of Spanish silver ended up in China via the Manila Galleon trade, taken over by the Bongs in the Opium War and 72.6–78% of Spanish gold reserves were handed over by the Second Spanish Republic to the USSR in exchange for military supplies and support (they were defeated by the Nationalist Band anyway).

Happy Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day.

What reason would modern Spain have for returning the gold to central American countries? Those countries have no leverage over Spain.

If you believe that pre-industrial gold and silver mining is in any way comparable to the gold and silver amounts mined with 21st century machinery, I have a bridge to sell you. Mexico and Peru are amongst the world's top gold producers TODAY btw

What did they need the gold for?
>>
>>18735716
In fact, as a result of that law, the third city in Spanish population size is Buenos Aires.

The Spanish still shipped over a stupid amount of gold, though

A single shipwrecked vessel off the coast of Colombia had 17 billion dollars worth of gold in it.

I also know from reading logs of shipments from Mexico that there were an enormous amount of weapons, armor, pieces of clothing, jewelry etc brought over to Europe from Mesoamerican civilizations (which is kind of mind boggling, considering so little of those pieces survive today, though for the jewelry, see my next line), and we know that those made up only a small fraction of shipments despite their quantity because most of it was already melted down jewelry, art etc.
