Enjoy Hell.

>>18736129If Shinto is real then why didn't Amaterasu give Jimmu and Japanese their own writing system and words for emperor and Shinto itself Shinto is a loanword from Chinese Shendao and Tennō (emperor) is a loanword from Chinese Tianhuang and were only retroactively adopted by Japan in the 7th century AD with Chinese writing. That alone disproves your entire religion.
>>18737120I think you're underestimating the importance and utility of oral tradition in the ancient world. The Druids, Magi, and Brahmins orally transmitted their verses in antiquity. Many cultures had specific oral memorization techniques to make sure none of it would be forgotten or corrupted and more often than not, these techniques were embedded into the poetry itself (hence why Homeric poetry frequently uses descriptive epithets like “wine-dark sea” and “swift-footed Achilles”). Socrates himself intentionally wrote nothing down because he believed it weakened our memorization abilities and because texts couldn’t defend themselves against misinterpretation or answer follow-up questions.
>>18737332You're ignoring Japan RETROACTIVELY giving non-existent emperors like Jimmu who they claimed lived in the 600s BC, the Chinese invented title of Tennō which Japan didn't use until the 7th century AD. Tianhuang is a Daoist god in China.Japan borrowed the word Shinto entirely from Chinese ShendaoI'm not talking about just using a writing systemShinto rituals were borrowed from Chinese DaoismJapan retroactively gave Chinese titles, names, rituals to Shinto and their fake emperorsIn the 600s BC Japan was inhabited by Jomon hunter gatherers who didn't even speak Japanese or farm rice.None of the mythical Japanese emperors in Nihon Shoki match up with Japanese monarchs noted in Chinese historical records like the King of Na and Queen Himiko and Queen Iyo of Yamatai and the Kuna kingdom.Druids didn't make up fake history or give retroactive Greek titles to non-existent people 1000 years before them who never used those titles. The name of their religion isn't Greek.
>>18736129What is Sekai Shindo? Wikipedia in english has a few lines saying it is a derivate of Tenrikyo, but it would be amene to give an explanation of what it is, where it comes from, and what its basic precepts are.I would also like to remark that the text of your second post >>18736129 seems like it belongs inside a horror story or playable graphic novel. Is that true, or does the text come from elsewhere?I do not really engage with Japanese religious culture a lot so I ask you to be patient. And while I won't translate this, if you are an english-speaker just doing a bit and messing with credulous idiots like me, I want to say that you are a dick. Likewise, if any video content creator is reading this: NIGGER FAGGOT NIGGER. Now you'll have to blur it out, fatass.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------これは英語から日本語への機械翻訳です。

>>18737455Btw I looked into the Wikipedia and it says:>Aida, a woman who had converted to Tenrikyo to 1923 and then to Honmichi in 1925, had a divine experience when on March 13, 1938, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto (月読之命) and Kuni-Sazuchi-no-Mikoto (国狭土之命) possessed Aida Hide's body. On December 23, 1942, 10 more deities descended into Aida Hide's body. Sekai Shindōkyō was subsequently founded in 1944.[3]>In 1946, Aida Hide moved the religion's headquarters to Toyokawa. On July 6, 1948, Sekai Shindōkyō was officially incorporated under the Japan's post-war Religious Corporations Law. The main temple, founder's hall, and office were completed in 1967. Aida Hide died on May 24, 1973.[4]I don't have the cultural background to really understand any of this but it sounds creepy. She was possesed by twelve gods? Isn't Tenrikyo supposed to just have one, like the religions one is more familiar with in the Americas and Europe? I had never heard of this Honmichi schismatic group before. It also says this:>In the religion, the full name of God is "Heaven-Earth Moon-Sun Parent Water-Fire-Wind Great God [Kami-sama]" (天地月日御親水火風之大神様, Tenchi Tsukihi Mioya Sui-Hi-Fū no Ōkamisama).[4]That is an extravagant name for a god!
