By the way, they were against war with Czechoslovakia, but they actually supported war with Poland as Nazi propaganda painted a picture of Poles persecuting their German minority. After the fall of France they were ecstatic believing they won the war, but by 1945 they basically blamed the Nazis for starting the war realizing it was a mistake.

There was a very active left wing in the party (that later got purged in the Night of the Long Knives). He of course talked a lot about the Jews being the problem and that Germany should regain lost territories, but he did not talk about conquering all of Europe at any means necessary or enacting a fascist dictatorship. He does praise central leadership in his writing, but people often ignore such statements as theoretical rhetoric (see Trump).Also remember that the Nazi party was not actually elected into power. Hitler was made chancellor when the previous government fell apart, as the leader of the largest minority party. The Conservative Right Wing thought Hitler would play ball within the democratic system, not abolish it.
