Do people seriously believe in Marxism or is it just a larp?
>>
It's a good thing to have at one end of the scale like "don't fuck over the workers TOO much or you'll get Marxism"
>>
>>18737400
Marx didn't believe it would just happen he believed that repeated crises and growing inequality would drive workers to pick up a gun and kill their bosses. And as the years go by it seems more and more like the 21st century is going to prove him right.
>>
>>18737435
this
he also thought it a workers revolution would emerge organically out of Classical Liberalism, and that third world shitholes would need to catch up and adopt Classical Liberalism before making the leap to Marxism anyways
>>
>>18737400
Both.

They believe it, but largely because they're lazy fucks who don't examine their own beliefs. It's the same as all the new

Can Marxism exist in a country that doesn't have many ethnic groups/ rebelling against colonial powers?
>>
>>18737435
Capitalism would have collapsed sooner had it not been for the specter of communism causing capitalists to give the workers welfare as a bribe.

Post-scarcity is an inevitability of either coming technology/ robots superseding humans and making manual work by humans obsolete or something like nuclear war wiping out humanity and aliens coming down and establishing communism. Those are pretty much the two options of how post scarcity will unfold.

Nothing will happen

East Germany is virtually the only commie country that fits your definition. I’d also argue that Seychelles under France Albert-Rene seemed pretty decent. Basically M-L as an ideology works best on small community scale like island states.

Replacing all human jobs with robots still wouldn’t result in magically infinite resources

If you think men in coming centuries who live on other planets and leave the galaxy, will also still have McDonald’s corporations they wage slave under then youre a lost cause. Men will inevitably realize they can rise above it with computers and technology rationing everything.

Can’t wait for the AI managed bread lines comrade.

USSR didnt have computers obviously. Also I should clarify that I believe post scarcity is still centuries off. Call me back in literally 1,000 years and if there’s still corporations I will be astonished.

My favorite Marxism is:
>give all power to the state and then the state will just wither away
>>
>>18737400
I am surprised that Marxists and later Leninists were clever enough to conjure up such scenarios.
But when I read about Soviet ideology in a couple of books recently that went into how they thought about achieving communism would work, it was laughable to me. Only in like 70's, apparently, some soviet theoretician cooked up an idea about automation, robots, probably because tech was finally getting closer to those things for people to notice.
But imagine living in 19th century, or even later, first half of the 20th century, how did these niggers think that you can have such a classless society when at least some people still have to work, and different jobs at that.
Wishful thinking.
>>
>>18737435
far too many proles are spineless cucks or drunk on false consciousness, with none of the fight in them of their 19th and 20th century forebears
I share Marx's analysis but not his optimism. Still, it's fight back or roll over, and I'm the type to fight back.

What are the tenets of marxism? I think they're larpers by definition since communism is supposed to happen "automatically" and forcing it won't work so the tards just sit around in their che guevara tshirts and larp as revolutionaires. But there's probably some self contradiction in marxism anyway, and in any case it doesn't matter because even if society starts operating without money/property, humans will build hierarchies based on other things and we'll be limited not by lacking money but because Stacy has other plans for X. So in all honesty the nerd losers who are attracted to marxism in the first place will suffer even more under communist chadocracy (nothing to offer to chads/stacies whereas atm they can at least work subway/office drone jobs)

Very interesting seeing marxism critiqued through an incel lens

What's the alternative? the invisible hand that magically saves us all from poverty?

TWO MORE WEEKS CAPITALISM WILL COLAPSE!!!!!
>>
>>18737400
It tends towards being an online larp but less of a larp than far right ideologies are today.
>>
>>18737435
You're right, the current developments does sow the ground for Marxs wet dreams.
Only problem is that the far left has so far been almost completely inept at exploiting it. Instead it is the far right, the supposed puppets of the bourgeoisie, who are gaining massive ground.

Name 1 INDUSTRIAL LABORER uprising in the 21st century that has been successful. Do you see the TSMC workers overthrowing the government anytime soon?
>>
>>18737400
marx didn't say capitalism will collapse.

he said it will drive class warfare. a warfare whose outcome wasn't inevitable. revolutionaries will either win and will continue the march of history or capitalists will win and we will descend further into hell.
