If "ethnicity" is a real thing that matters, why did the Nazis accept Silesians, Masurians, Prussian Lithuanians, and even Kashubians as German?

You ask why the first arguably postmodern state, with loose relationships with truth, epistemology, stable human subjectivity, institutional prerogatives and reasons for political action, had retarded ethnic science?
>>

>They wuz retarded because they didn't actually believe in "race science" as an end to itself, but as tool for the service of the German nation.
>>

It's retarded to regard ethnicity as entirely, or even primarily, genetic. The Nazis made that mistake without even having access to genetics so they very arbitrarily labeled some Slavs as Slavified Germans and others as pure subhumans without really basing it off of any real proof.

If [thing] is real, why do I disagree with someone else's opinions on [thing]?

Ethnicity describes people sharing in actuality their descent, language, culture, and religion to a strong degree in each case. The Nazi actions regarding these minorities reveal that the one of the most "racial" regimes to ever exist did not "racialize" on ground of these attributes themselves.

Not religion.
