I've seen a lot of those Facebook parents that justify those strict rules or even physical corporate punishment by saying stuff like "but I carried you for nine months, birthed you, clothed you, fed you, you better obey or else." Maybe this is a valid argument for someone who intentionally commits harm against another, but is it really the choice for someone who simply gets bad marks or doesn't do all their chores or even talk back?My question is, who forced you to do that? Unless if you were raped and lived in a society that bans abortions with no exceptions and bans adoptions or fostering simultaneously, chances are it was your choice to get horny one night and to raise that child. Either way, that child did not ask to be raised into this cruel world. You accepted these responsibilities. Is it really that fair that someone small and vulnerable who only had five years of experience to use their two legs have to blindly obey and accept whatever punishment they get? Children should have every right to dish it back if they must take it. They should have every right to spank their parents if they're acting like jerks. At least the adult isn't as seriously injured.
