What if the Confederacy had been decisive on the Western Front, avoiding blunder after blunder and after victory at Shiloh?
The day after Gettysburg novel any good?
>>18743447Good chance they win the war if they win in the West.Lee would likely hold, the East wouldn’t be drained of manpower. The Western Union falling would cause Britain and France to support the CSA more openly. A huge deficit of guns would have been solved if the CSA could have kept the New Mexico AZ territory smuggling operation open.Robbing the Union of its farms, taking that food for themselves, having more guns, decisive advantage.
An intriguing what if scenario involves the establishment of an Appalachian buffer state between the New Anglo-Yankees and Dixieland, predicated on the peaceful resolution of the situation at Fort Sumter without any bombardment.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Confederacy
>>18743837Anglo-French ironclads production likely send to blockade runners

>>18743447every what if the confederacy won cope always ends up with the same scenario where the CSA turns into neo-Brazilthe only reason blacks exist in the united states is because white southerners were addicted to buying niggers from kikes. and after they lost their niggers these retarded whites spread all over the midwest and started importing spics to work their fields. every single race relation issue within the US stems back to retard whites who were too cheap to pay white workers so they imported third world retards for labor instead.
>>18744660Does that mean Anne (Lucy) Frank successor is Brazilian Miku?
>>18743447idk maybe the war lasts a little longer
>>18744718Might lasted through similar civil wars between Royalists and Parliamentarians.
>>18743837A couple raid into great lake or taking Arizona
>>18744660That's just cope. The truth is farm work is shit, and has always been shit, why do you think every thirdie city has miles and miles of favelashacks with former peasants (or their kids) living in them?
>>18745127>agriculture is hard so you should have infinity third world immigrants forever
>>18745168Nothing matters as long European immigrants
>>18745168its the same shit in every developed country with agriculture lol, it's got nothing to do with le lazy confeds corrupting innocent sons of the soil in the midwest
>>18744660Trvke
>>18744660....cope?
>>18743447Not only that, after the Trent Affair, the British led a two-front war in Canada and assisted Native tribes in their struggle.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dakota_War_of_1862
>>18743837>they win the war if they win in the West.Pretty much impossible for them to win the war without outright diplomatic support from Britain. The North would just keep milking its superior manpower and factories
>>18745839Wouldn’t work if the confederacy took the West in a sweep. The North would require more manpower than it had access to to retake the West which would leave them vulnerable in the east. The north’s strongest position is stretching the front as far as possible so the CSA feels the weight of being outnumbered 3:1. If the CSA took the West by say getting really lucky with supply depots and transport lines, the North is hemmed against an entrenched enemy. They could win eventually but time wouldn’t be on their side. When England or France sees the Union shrink to 1/3 its original size they’re definitely supporting the CSA directly if not overtly joining the war and sending soldiers.

>>18744679VGH...!
>>1874512719th Century Europe could supply infinity white people who were already going to do shit farm work regardless, and viewed being a landholding farmer on frontier land to be an enormous step up.
>>18743447Looking at the thumbnail I thought this was a post apocalyptic map of Asia where China and Japan sunk into the ocean.

>>18743837>The Western Union falling would cause Britain and France to support the CSA more openly. There is literally no situation where Britain meaningfully supports the Confederacy. British foreign policy had been ending slavery for a long time so actively joining a war to continue slavery would never get any public support.
>>18748101Revenge for 1812 and the recent Pig War are still remembered by Britain politics.
>>18748101The bongs built warships for the Confederacy, ran and financed their blockade runners out of the Caribbean, ran their Northern espionage out of Montreal, and were on the verge of recognizing them as a country after 1 more major victory. Europe would follow quickly. Spare me your "slavery" anecdotes. Perfidious Albion has always supported slavery, well into the 20th century. Like in Rotherham.
>>18748442Even Prince Albert's own principality recognized the CSA.
>>18748101Britain literally spent the entire 19th century propping up the Ottoman Empire.
>>18748861>Crimean War to Great WarHabsburg and Ottoman alliance was wholesome
I wonder Joe Johnston handle situration around Gettysburg in with commanders Robert E. Rodes (Norse God), Richard S. Ewell (Eccentric), and Jubal Early (Curmudgeon) place?

>>18744272>Southern Illinois (“Little Egypt”) had cultural and economic ties to the South, and some residents sympathized with the Confederacy. >The “Pacific Republic” conspiracy among a group of Southern sympathizers sought to persuade General Albert Sidney Johnston, commander of the Department of the Pacific, to support secession. Their plan depended entirely on his cooperation. Johnston, though sympathetic to the South, refused and pledged to defend federal installations “to the last drop of his blood.” Without military backing, the conspiracy collapsed.Could it have worked out?
>>18748101I know this makes you incredibly mad, but the South had quite a bit of support in England and France because it was not widely seen as a war for slavery. You are letting your ideology colour your view of history.
It wouldn't even need to be decisive to win, if basically anything had happened just a little bit differently, the South would've won. The Union war effort was genuinely collapsing in 1864 before the victories in the summer rescued it.
>>18743447They just need Floridan Sun-Yi.
>>18743447>>18743447>New Orleans is the biggest city in the south, a crucial port, and the base for the control of the Mississippi river>The CSA government sends next to no military to defend it and its entirely up to local militia including a unit made up of free black creolesWhat were they thinking?!?!
>>18743447Order 191 has not been discovered. The Battle of Sharpsburg went well as planned. The CSS Virginia ironclad and other cottonclad/timberclad prevented an federal amphibious landing and the breaking of the blockade. Britain soon back the South.>>18750855In this scenario, Nashville, New Orleans, or Fayetteville would serve as the Confederate capital in lieu of Richmond to strategically divert Union forces.
>>18750855A major hub like Ironclads manufacturing, Cook and Brothers Enfield-copy production, most importantly cotton/corn supplements to Europe for diplomat. Truly a blunder after recalling troops from the gulf coast and miss opportunity mobilizing more manpower from New Orleans.
>>18743447More submarine, cottonclads, and sea mine
