how do acktheist explain the resurection?
>>
>>18747096
I'd estimate roughly 40-50% of waking atheist activity can be categorized as an attempt to forget that God exists and that Jesus is going to come back to earth one day. Think about all the hours they spend on drugs, perverted sex, meditation, escapism, and so forth. In the back of their mind they know they are going to Hell so they have to do whatever they can to numb it out.
>>
>>18747096
So "Joshua" was Moses' assistant in the Hebrew Bible, during the Roman period in Judea, a bunch of scholars re-appropriated Jewsish messiahnism by borrowing Joshua, which the Romans rendered as "Jesus". Hope that helps!
>>
>>18747096
This is literally a /pol/ or maybe even /b/ tier post. Do you have any empirical proof that the resurrection happened?
>>
>>18747096
If an atheist told you that a random Jew came back from the dead for no apparent reason, you'd think they were insane. Your critical thinking skills are actively being handicapped by an identity centered on a 2,000 year old book

uh-oh, it just so happens that everything else in the book happens to be true and that the prophecies of the OT which has been verified to have been written before Christ's arrival happen to be true. surely THIS part of Christ being divine is the one thing wrong. it's delusional, plainly. has to be this >>18747104

The magic Jew came back to life and then floated up through the clouds, then zombies started walking around... I mean the magic Jew book says so, and that it was DESTINED to happen what's there to doubt? Let me break this down. The magic Jew book prophesied that another magic Jew would come back to life and then.. sure enough if you read later in the book he does come to life! Incredible!

Atheist ignore the science: every human culture has a religion as the core ideology that sets social expectations and values for that society. Religion evolved with man, it's in our genetics. Genetics and religion are intertwined: religion puts selection pressures on the genetics and the behavioral genetics changes the religion's core belief. Thus, religion literally shapes the race and visa versa.

ergo, religion is a human need for a working society.
Atheist tend to be social misfits, they have their belief because of cognitive bias e.g. I want to do things that are against the religious belief, so they conclude that societies religion must be wrong and try and destroy it.

Now among the world's religions, Christianity has provided the basis of a great deal of accomplishment that enabled most of humanity to expand in numbers that never before existed. Christianity is a beneficial religion to those who have the genetics to support it.
Atheist tend to be antisocial pathological creatures, I'm afraid.

Paradoxically, Christianity like many other religions in the world developed a defensive mechanism to cultural destruction in the social exclusion of atheist and heretics. Vocal non believers were removed from the population so they could not spread doubt and undermined the society's core values. We see now from current events and the fall of western society that came with the fall of the cultures core religion that it was an essential core value. Removing heretics and atheist who assaulted the cultural values preserves the culture and the people of that culture i.e. kept the human birth rates western culture high enough to survive the black death. Without religion, the societies birth rates fell to extinction levels. Atheist therefore, murdered the entirety western peoples.

Core regions of the various Chinese people are Buddhism, Taoism (Daoism), Confucianism, and Chinese folk religion
>>

It is important to note that the Chinese ideologies, religions, produced a stable society that lasted over 3000 years. It also inhibited any human accomplishment to advance their society. This is in contrast with Western Christianity.

The question then is not that religion should exist for that is just asking should humanity exist.
The question is which religion and associated culture should prove most beneficial and a fit with the population genetics.
Hands down, for the last 2000 years, that has proven to be Christianity for the Caucasian peoples, Hindu for the Indians, etc.
Atheists are best considered to be dangerous pathogens within a society, and should be exorcised for the preservation of the culture and its peoples.
>>
>>18747429
What exactly has Hinduism offered the Indians? How exactly do you think Islam has been good for Arabs?
>>
>>18747421
Yes. And what's your point? Point to a society that has no religion, or one where human babies can become functional adults on their own.
You're not making logial arguments.
Besides, enough of them are born with the genetics to embrace a religion.
And people without religion tend to invent one. "I'm saving the world and doing good" they believe, irrationally, by adapting the religion of environmentalism, of believing in protecting criminals, etc.
>>
>>18747433
I could point out a few but then you'd probably start seething about Trannies
>>

Ethnocentrism is not an argument against another culture. Your very evaluation of the culture as a "shit hole" is based on the values of western culture.
What your asking me to do is justify per your western values the culture of the Hindu Indians.

I will try and make it simple: The West is going extinct, the Hindu population is over a billion. Rather than appeal to cultural values, I appeal to evolution itself.

Many religions have a "far fetched" feature. This is so that they can identify who is or who isn't a member of the society. Something so unusual and incredible that an outsider would never guess. It's serves as a passcode and identifies the outsider who cannot be trusted if they don't know the pass code.
Again, religion defines good and evil within the culture. Christians should never trust anyone who doesn't believe in the resurrection and should expel the outsider from society.
Sort of like how the Japanese did with the Christians themselves, btw.
>>
so, where are we at?
Are the atheist against all religions? That would be against humanity itself, as it is essential to our social nature.
Or are the atheist just against Christianity?
>>
>>18747472
Fully agree. However I will go a step further than you (call me a zealot if you want, I know I am not) and proclaim that Jesus Christ is God Incarnate. I read both OT and NT, but I take Christ's Word as the final authority on everything.
>>
>>18747481
They are mostly against Christianity. An honest atheist (a rare breed) would be against all spirituality, but e-atheists are jews/jeets/troons who are driven not just by a hate of Christ but first and foremost by a hate of what He represents, meaning His People (Christians) amd all that is Good
>>

I agree. The religion works and is true. Which is remarkable. How did they know so much about human nature 2000 years ago, things that science is just learning today.
>>18747500
Most Atheist do seem to have a fixation on just Christians.
>>18747512
Doesn't matter if Jesus existed. The religion works. Pretty sure Jesus did exist, however. That there is a God, a creation, is evidenced by the creation of the universe (the universe has a supernatural origin) and my soul that cannot be detected by any known means of this world. Now it's just a matter of finding out what the creator wants me to believe. Christianity seems the best fit for me, so I believe it entirely. We humans were made for religious belief.
Those who share your opinion should be, according to the Christian religion, be shunned and ignored. See, for example the Epistle of Jude.
You are, according to the religion, a blasphemer and don't belong in a Christian society.

Never happened. Jesus died on Friday at 3PM, the Sabbath would start at 6PM. According to Jewish tradition, certain rites had to be performed, but they didn't have time for it. So, they put Jesus's body into the cave to perform the rites later. They couldn't perform the rites on the Sabbath, so the women went to do it on Sunday. Only to see no body. The disciples (presumably, including Peter) stole it during the Sabbath.

he didn't
they thought he was going to come back 100 years after his death, then it was 200, 500, 1000, 2000
still hasn't come back

sometimes people look at modern doomsday cults
the promised day comes and goes and the cult leaders come up with some cope and set a new date
most people in those cults keep following them after this
people ask, "how can these cult members be so gullible? every time the supposed date of the end of the world comes without the world ending, they just fall for it again when they're given a new date. why don't they realize it's never going to happen?"

christians have been falling for it for over 2,000 years

All that stuff can be done devotionally and in the spirit of exploration, in which case it promotes spiritual growth: it's the left-hand path and it works. Except meditation, that's used by left and right hand seekers. "Prayer" etc.

Good question.
The answer seems to be they are driven by cognitive dissonance into rejecting Christianity because they don't like the faith's teachings, and have confused "not Christian" with "atheists".
>>
>>18747697
The point was that the Christian church has no objections to the sciences of cosmology an evolution, but are frequently confused with having objections in those fields because of the rantings of Protestants that view what they claim is the bible in a literal context.
Thus, the claim that scientific inquiry lead to atheism is refuted.

>every human culture has a religion as the core ideology that sets social expectations and values for that society.
No, that's not really how things work. Every culture has norms and every culture has weird superstitious beliefs that we call religious and usually the two are related to each other (and other things) but not always in a way that makes religion the master or the grounding of all norms.
>>
>>18747721
semantic fallacy.
The bible does not say "jew". The concept of "Jew" to mean the peoples of the Talmud came about in the 8th century, after and in reaction to Islam. Islam killed pagans but allowed people "of the book" to exist.
Since Jew means people of the Talmud, and the Judeans would have killed the Pharisees had they known that they still kept the oral tradition of the Talmud, it is clear that: the Talmudist are not Judeans. They named themselves "Jew" in 1250 AD. It is part of the faith that Talmudist are not Judeans.
The "Jesus was a Jew" meme is false, as Jesus was a Judean, their legit heir to the throne of Judea, and Jesus denounced the Talmudist aka "Jews" as not judans but liars. This is repeated often to just annoy people and make them angry. It's a simple minded bait to end the discussion and replace it with a non-productive verbal "fight"
>>

Great, get off my board.
>>
>>18748493
Ready to admit you're wrong? Or are you going to double down?
>>
>>18747872
what do you mean by "false"?
Religion works. A religion that doesn't work goes extinct. There's no "false genes" just as there are no "false religions". They survive and propagate or they don't.
When I was doing engineering work I had to release work orders to the technicians building the project. I wrote what they had to do. I didn't explain why I designed it that way, just do this.
It's very similar to what Christ said that we should go to him as Children. Just do it; these are the rules we should follow. It's not in our capacity to question the designer or say he was wrong.

tl:dr there is no false, just you don't understand or don't like it.
>>
>>18748483
So, there are ideologies, but you object to calling them religions.
semantic quivering.
>>
>>18748501
There are two Bibles the canon of which was given us by God the Holy Ghost at the Second Council of Rome. The two Bibles, one Greek for the Eastern Church and one in Latin for the Western Church. They were intentionally made in two well known languages at the time so that the Faith couldn't be perverted by Translations, and these two languages were spoken by just about all literate peoples in the West.
Your King James Version belongs to King James, not God. The English language didn't even exist at the time the Bible was created, and the people living in Great Britain at the time were blue painted pagans who, according to the Romans, would sit around in swamps.

The empty tomb. The apparitions. Doubting Thomas. Come on. It's all in the Bible. Now you go fetch me a tablet from before 70 AD that claims that Jesus performed no miracles and no magic. On the contrary, you will find many claiming that they have no idea where his powers come from.

I literally gave you a positive and also gave you more positives that prove that said positive has *atleast* some amount of true. Note that this *atleast* is a fat part of it, for it is literally magic.

All you've said is that the bible claims the resurrection happened. That isn't proof.

1. K(Jesus rose from the dead) = 1
2. Therefore, Jesus rose from the dead.

>empty tomb
There isn't even evidence the tomb existed in the first place.
>The apparitions
No evidence.
>Doubting Thomas
Ibid.
>It's all in the Bible
The same book that says historically inaccurate things like claiming Jews had been enslaved in Egypt or that camels were present in Palestine before they had been actually brought over?
>fetch me a tablet from before 70 AD that claims that Jesus performed no miracles and no magic
Mate, there aren't even any contemporary records that claimed he existed in his supposed lifetime.

1. K(christcucks tongue my anus) = 1

The doctrine of biblical inerrancy is not the same thing as the bible existing. Why can’t atheists tell the difference between their denial of inerrancy and the denial that the bible is a source? And his point was clearly that the opponents of Christianity were forced to admit that Jesus performed miracles, but attributed it to magic instead of God.
