Tbh if I was there I wouldn't have done anything differently, completely necessary evil. Having royal heirs is using children as human shields anyway.

They weren't royal anymore. He abdicated and lost all his power. Killing him and the family seemed more or less just wanting revenge for emotional reasons.
>>
>>18750106
>implying he and his family wouldn't have been leaders/figureheads of the white russians if they had rescued them

this single act set the course for the USSR and its eventual collapse. The founding spirit for a nation is important, to found one on blatant murder generally reflects poorly on the culture mental state of its people
>>
>>18750106
It annihilated the entire monarchist movement in an hour. To this day there are no serious Romanov pretenders.

>Why yes I believe with my whole heart and every thought that I have magic blood given to me by God that makes me the automatic rightful ruler of Russia for life and so does anyone who has even a drop of that blood

>The founding spirit for a nation is important
I think you misunderstand the entire point of communism
>>

it doesn’t particularly matter we both saw how it ended. The foundational thought of a new nation is important, one that’s based on unmitigated slaughter rarely lasts long

>it ended
People are still communists though..?

Yeah and nah. Nicky himself had to go, no second thoughts about it, and even the family can perhaps be justified as horrible but necessary measure, but they way how it was done in absolute secrecy by drunken fools and then shamefully covered up was still amateurish, tasteless and shameful.

That being said, in the big picture the messiness didn’t matter that much, because if Soviet Union had became a truly stable and sustainable system in the long run, nobody would really care about Tsar’s fate after the initial generation of monarchy supporters died off.

don’t be stupid anon it’s a bad look for you.

What would be the professional, tasteful and proud way to kill children?
>>
>>18750200
And dump their bodies down a well afterward. Just to keep it classy.
>>
Every other country at the time that got rid of their monarchs managed to do so without killing children. In fact, almost all countries that got rid of their monarchies managed to do it without killing children. They didn’t even kill royal children during the French Revolution when monarchies were far more viable. Sounds like commies making up a bullshit excuse to me.

The generals running the white army thought the Tsar was retarded. The army in 1917 served Nicholas on a silver platter to the revolutionaries and he had zero friends among the military establishment. The reds could have loaded them onto a train at any point and had them in moscow for a show trial but didn't.
>>18750118
There was no strictly monarchist movement by that time in 1918 with any hope of sniffing power. The white army under Kolchak and Denikin weren't going to take orders from Nicholas or his crippled son even if they somehow managed to get ahold of them.
>>
Why monarchist are so appalled at the idea of proletariat offing the Tsar that they seethe avout it even over a century later, but at the same time they are completely OK with killing monarchs if other claimants to the throne do it? Is it the idea that the ruling noble class is seen as equal actors and their internal power struggles are just business that doesn’t belong to the common people?

>You have mentioned Louis XVII to me. Let us come to an understanding. Shall we weep for all the innocent, all martyrs, all children, the lowly as well as the exalted? I agree to that. But in that case, as I have told you, we must go back further than ’93, and our tears must begin before Louis XVII. I will weep with you over the children of kings, provided that you will weep with me over the children of the people.

Lenin represented the “people” when he dismissed the election, seized power, managed to piss off the Czechs, and started his bloody red terror as he frantically purged whoever he can. Interesting thing is a group of those who murdered the Russian Tsars were later torn apart/lynched by the actual local people, as they had been tyrannical commissars. Miserable commieslop.

>Stepan Vaganov (Russian: Cтeпaн Baгaнoв; 1886–1918) was a Russian sailor and Bolshevik revolutionary. A participant in the establishment of Soviet power in the Urals and in the civil war, he is known for his personal participation in the murder of the Romanov family under Yakov Yurovsky on 17 July 1918.
>Over the next few days, the Bolsheviks hastily evacuated from Yekaterinburg ahead of the advance of the White-aligned Czechoslovak Legion. Though a number of Bolsheviks remained in the city when the Czechoslovaks finally arrived, almost all of those involved in the killing of the Imperial Family had already fled. A notable exception was Vaganov, who was unable to escape in time and found himself trapped in the city when it was taken by the White Czechs under Colonel Voytsekhovsky on 25 July.[4][3] Likely anticipating brutal retribution at the hands of the White Guards, Vaganov tried to hide in a cellar, where he was found, not by the Whites, but by the workers of Verkh-Isetsk, who tore him to pieces on the spot in retribution for his earlier role in the suppression of the Verkh-Isetsk uprising and punitive raids and expropriations
Since the entire Romanov Execution was a rushed messy shitshow, some of them got trapped in the area. Within the anarchy of the 1918 White Russian advances, Bolsheviks left behind would find themselves lynched by locals preceding the arrival of the White Army. Vaganov was one of them.

Do you have proof the whites would've "rallied to the Tsar"? Other than fringe hardliners like Sternburg the vast majority of the whites were in support of the Duma Government that was illegally overthrown by the reds for simply losing the election.

> Interesting thing is a group of those who murdered the Russian Tsars were later torn apart/lynched by the actual local people, as they had been tyrannical commissars.
When did I ever explicitly say it was because of the Tsar? I simply pointed out when it came to something the people actually did, not the political parties, they lynched that disgusting red where they found him. It shows how Bolshevism was more of a usurping movement of spiteful mutants, something aligning well with you, instead of a mass popular peasant reaction. Good riddance to that shitty less than 100 year entity, the Russo Ukraine War helps further bury it. One doesn’t have to be a Tsarist to dislike how much of a blight it was, and how its few remaining supporters, happen to be.

>group of those who murdered the Russian Tsars were later torn apart/lynched by the actual local people

You fucking rat.
>>

>as they had been tyrannical commissars
To elaborate from the same wikishit part:
>the workers of Verkh-Isetsk, who tore him to pieces on the spot in retribution for his earlier role in the suppression of the Verkh-Isetsk uprising and punitive raids and expropriations.[2][9][3] Historian Helen Rappaport writes: "Stepan Vaganov fell victim to summary peasant justice: he was set upon and murdered, not for his part in the Romanov killings, but for his participation in local acts of brutal repression by the Cheka"
Is English not your primary language? Many remaining hardline communists I noticed are from Peruvian-Bolivian shitholes. There is a reason I mentioned at the end that he was lynched for being a “tyrannical commissar” instead of saying they killed him to “avenge the tsar”. He had abused the local population at the behest of Lenin. Like a rat, he hid in a cellar until the actual local people got hold of him, providing popular retribution for his crimes. That makes it very ironic when Bolsheviks claim everything they did was an expression of the people’s anger. Yet whenever the people had a choice not pressured by Bolshevik Arms, they got rid themselves of the Reds. It’s very telling the moment the Soviets gave up on state repression, it unraveled for that same reason.

>he admits it wasn't a group and he wasn't torn apart out of loyalty to the tsar
Hang yourself lying rat fuck

In traditional absolute monarchies, it was pretty normal to exterminate the bloodline of your rival when you replaced them. It didn’t happen every time, and there was a lot of fuckery including marrying the wife and daughters of the guy you killed to legitimize your new dynasty, but total eradication of a royal bloodline was not a rare event during a transition of power. The only reason why the Romanovs getting this treatment has ever been treated as special is because the commies did it. I’m not saying I like or agree with the idea of communism, but for all the shit they actually did, this wasn’t really atypical for absolutist monarchies.
>>
if they managed to escape out of russia, would the commies still go after them? like how stalin got trotsky
>>

Tanistry caused particular problems in Scotland (viz Macbeth) where the king or chief of the clan was elected by an assembly of family heads. In Scotland, primogenitural and tanist heirs fought constantly for the throne. This actually resulted in violent deaths for most Scottish kings.

>>18751072
Why are Bolsheviks so appalled at the idea of the actual proletariat offing the tyrannical commissar? You seethe about it, but at the same time you are completely OK with killing the Tsar’s children and attendants? Is it the idea that the ruling political party is seen as an equal actors and their power struggles are just business that don’t belong to the common people, factory workers in their own province? How do you claim that the murder of the Tsar was an act done by the “proletariat” and thus rightful, when the actual proletariat was given the opportunity delivered justice on the commissar? Perhaps the usurping parasites shouldn’t lay claim to the entirety of the proletariat.

Well it depends really. The most explicit example was the extinction of the Staufers, many were shocked at the time that Conradin was executed in the manner he.. In Europe, dynasty’s would die off usually due to a lack of heirs instead of open extermination. Trying to find other examples.

>>18751079
