According to the Bible, what is Gehenna, also called the Lake of Fire? What actually happens during The Great White Throne Judgement, and during the aftermath punishment for the damned? What kind of a realm or location is Gehenna, literally the area just in or around Jerusalem, traditionally outside of the walls, is it an outside-of-the-universe holding realm for the wicked, if it does not exist in the universe at all, or is it something and somewhere else? Is it literally a lake of lava with flames in an otherwise dark realm, or is it more of absolute pitch darkness that has burning pains?
>>18750882>what is Gehenna, also called the Lake of Fire? It's a massive lake of fire where all the unsaved go at the Great White Throne Judgement. >What kind of a realm or location is Gehenna,Outer space. The trash will be far, far removed from the elect. >What actually happens during The Great White Throne JudgementHell is relocated from its current location in the center of the earth to the lake of fire. The damned will be judged according to their sins and that will be it for them. Next stop: Eternal conscious torment.>Is it literally a lake of lava with flames in an otherwise dark realm, or is it more of absolute pitch darkness that has burning pains?AFAIK it's not 100% explicated in the KJV so it could be either one. If someone has a verse that clarifies this I'd be curious to know.
>>18750882First, the dead go to Hades, both the righteous and the unrighteous. They wait there for the Great White Throne Judgement Day. Then, the damned are cast into either a bright fiery pit called Gehenna, or it is a pitch black outer darkness. Either way, the Lake of Fire is real, and it will apparently involve the majority of humanity. Those who are saved go to Heaven, which is also on Earth.
>>18751541saved from whom? if it was their own will, they would be able to stop it. Therefore, another entity is casting them into what your story describes as a fiery pit.
>>18751682Saved from what the wicked deserve according to the King Of Wisdom.
>>18751726So saved from an abstract concept? interesting. I don't think they need much saving then.
>>18752179It you could see the ones who will own you for all eter ity you would thibk differently.“And I saw the key-holders and the guards of the gates of hell standing, as large as serpents, with their faces like lamps that have been extinguished, and their eyes aflame, and their teeth naked down to their breasts. And I said to their faces, ‘It would have been better if I had not seen you, nor heard about your activities, nor that any member of my tribe had been brought to you. To what a small extent they have sinned in this life, but in the eternal life they will suffer forever.’
>>18752283Likewise, buddy. Enjoy the cauldron of Kasyrgan for disrespecting the spirit of fire.
>>18752283By the way you are logically incoherent since you said that they will be saved from what the wicked deserve. Therefore what the wicked deserve is a subject that acts upon the wicked. Which of course makes no sense, since a concept can not undertake actions.Also>>18752283your little fingies are trembling while writing on the basket weaving forum, how endearing,
>>18752364>>18752374Yall will deserve it and nobody will pity you the day he throws you in there.
>>18752381Would you feel pity if it was your grandmother who used to bake you snickerdoodle cookies being thrown into the lake of fire to suffer forever and ever?
>>18752381Same for you, enjoy cauldron of Kasyrgan. Nobody will pull you out of there, either, since you need to do good deeds in life for that to happen. By the way you disrespected your own god by writing he starting with a lowercase letter lmao.

>>18752421Nice self portrait. I wonder if you thought that an Indian accusing others of being Indian makes any sense, though.
It's a Judaized version of the Stoic ekpyrosis in preparation for palingenesis, the cyclic destruction and renewal of the world by divine fire that consumes everything (except, in the Judaized version, it isn't cyclic, and you can get out of it by being a good boy.)2 Peter 3:7;10, "By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. [. . .] But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare."Hebrews 12:27-28, "The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire."
>>18752386If she ends in hell God will prove in judgement day why. God will not send people to hell in secret. He will do it publicly in broad daylight in front of everyone in heaven and earth and will prove beyond a shadow of doubt that they are evil by exposing all their evil deeds, thoughts, imaginations and desires to everyone. When the are exposed nobody will pity them.
>>18752716Christians don't care about absolutely anyone or anything and are perfectly okay with that, very revealing.
>>18752783As a human being this side of eternity, it can be difficult for me to think in such terms, but the Lord is ultimately correct, no matter which pronouncements of judgements he makes, and no matter how severe they may strike humans during this present age. The Lord's measurements of justice are perfect, so there really is no reason why we should be concerned about that, but it is completely understandable why some humans may feel that the Lord's ways are not proportionately fitting more human-oriented metrics of what supposedly constitutes justice.
>>18753085Christians want to condemn people for things they themselves consider understandable and care more about a detached abstract concept than anything and anyone they supposedly care about, yet they demand to be trusted for some reason.
>>18753210I don't want to condemn anybody, and the Lord scripturally does not appear to want to, either, but he necessarily must deliver justice. His justice will prevail, whether members of humanity agree with what that amounts to be, or not.
>>18750882Not much happens there these days.
>>18752417India is ltierally the most persecutory country towards Christians
Hell is more "Listen to what Jesus says or you will be fucked over by the crazy faggots around you" and not that he will actually torture you at that place.
>>18752386Anon cmon, what did you expect. Christianity actively encourages you to hate your own family and go against them if they aren't Christian. They love their flying rabbi more then their own children.
>>18752783You wouldn't understand, you have a demon in your heart that keeps you as pet.
>>18753407>no argument Kek
>>18753262>I don't want to condemn anybody, I just agree with itAlso>he necessarily must deliver justice. Why? He could have simply not made "flawed" beings that need to be judged. Where was the necessity?
>>18753545The Lord, for one or more reasons, had decided to make humanity have the present version of free will. Whether you personally like it or not, the reality is pretty clear that we have free will, and may exercise it to our abilities. Is it necessary for the Lord to judge us, then? I would say yes, because he is letting us have our time, for now, and eventually, he will gather and review everyone at the Great White Throne Judgement.
>>18754348If God is all-knowing it means he already knows what your life choices will be the second you are born, which makes all the "having your time" completely unnecessary
>>18754349He knows, yet he is witnessing the current realities as they presently exist. It does not have to be unnecessary. The human being may be accustomed to watching films or listening to music they had participated with for many times. However, this reality apparently only happens once, in a linear sense, to be re-considered during the final judgements when the books are opened about the lives of those subject to the trials.
>>18752636This is the correct answer
>>18754350> human being may be accustomed to watching films or listening to music they had participated with for many times.Yes, and that's disgusting. I don't understand your point here.
>>18750882Most traditional/confessional denominations teach Eternal Conscious Torment as a non-negotiable truth, though the Bible appears as though interpretations could reasonably go either way towards that, or a Conditional Immortality reading that allows for what Justin Martyr said, that God will punish the damned as long as he allows for their punishments to go on for, and leave it at that without necessarily stipulating that the eternal punishment must be literally infinite, being perhaps instead eternal in its consequences of never coming back, whether the punishment is on a shorter, middle, or longer end of what Gehenna amounts to.
