Americans and their obsession with democracy, egalitarianism, and being validated subverted our society by burying old European classics and redefining modern trash books as "classics"

Whoa... So deep...
>>
>>18752320
This but unironically.
The people are really retarded and ruin everything.
>>
do zoomers even read books? would genuinely be surprised if they have the attention span for it after scrolling through instagram and tik tok reels

It's something that used to be factored into policy decisions, especially in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. However, we now have to pretend that all people are intelligent, morally coherent creatures, because if we acknowledge that a lot of them are congenitally stupid, neither Capitalism (which assumes that everyone can make rational individual decisions) nor Socialism/Communism (which assumes that, conditions being right, there will be a great degree of equality of outcome) can stand up, and we'll have to find an entirely new way of rationalizing our societies.
>>
>>18752319
Lmao, if there is a plot to destroy western culture it doesn't involve the public reading books.
>>
>>18752355
they skim over dialog or listen to summaries and call it reading
>>
>>18752410
Even the books most people read are slop. So it is relevant

Hi Hillary please just buy an add and stop posting to promote your channel to us chuds

>>18752410
Read between the lines, she uses layers of dogwhistles and implications. She never outright mention them but in all of her videos most people mentioned in a negative way have all something in common. Shes a covert chuddete
>>
>>18752319
@grok can i get an AI summary of the video thanks

>Shes a covert chuddete
non husband/partner reveal in....
>>
>>18752445
Having watched a video or two, she doesn't use any layers.
Very carefully steps around politics completely to focus on the facts, which is an impressive literary feat.

Democracy and egalitarianism are not American values. Americans are forced to elect individuals to represent them, and these officials introduce policies within the nexus of their respective political party. All American political parties are economically right leaning; they are liberals. All policies they introduce can never truly represent the masses. They only change variables within the system.
For example, they will introduce bills to increase taxes. Nothing in the bills to increase taxes stipulates that said revenue from taxes will be budgeted to help the public.
Egalitarianism was never an American value. The way America brainwashes brown monkeys like you into thinking it has ever been egalitarian is through whataboutism.
>We're an individualist consumerist oligarchy full of sacreligious zealots. But atleast we're not authoritarian like the English/Japanese/Germans/Chinese/Brazilians!
You can't access public spaces without being harassed or having the state harass you.
American culture is not Western culture. 85% of the population in the US has always lived in squalor and the poor in Europe and America live radically different lives. The US has long played devils advocate in regards to its place in "Western" politics ever since Kissinger's reform of the state department. It honored none obligation to defend the West when Russia invaded. The purpose behind the creation of the "Western Sphere" was to stop the spread of socialist ideology. Now that the USSR is gone, whatever happens in Europe does not matter to the US so long as the US has access to their markets to exploit them from within.
What you desire exists now and has always existed. You just don't want to fuck off to the South or to the suburbs where you belong.

>85% of the population in the US has always lived in squalor and the poor in Europe and America live radically different lives.
lmao, the state with the lowest per capita GDP STILL ranks higher than the UK
>>
>>18753139
There are better metrics to gauge quality of life than tax revenue. Nothing about GDP says anything about how the average working class person lives. But "The People" don't matter to Amerimongrels because they don't see their own fellow countrymen as people except for family and friends. So I don't know why you are trying to argue against my point by misrepresenting information. Go jack off or something if you're a cranky faggot.

To begin with, the US constitutional order is kind of weird in-between between a classical republicanism(think Venice) where it was not exactly a question of representing the masses proportionally but rather allowing for very extensive particularism while cockblocking factional dominance.
Things like electoral college having a minimum amount of representatives, each state having different amounts of representatives to congress but only 2 senators are remnants of classical republicanism. However there were many innovations that have been made since, for instance it used to be that you couldn't vote for your senators, usually the state's local legislature appointed them. It used to be that there were huge barriers to vote which again entrenched particularism and local interests(that you've had masses working in factories didn't mean the interests of these factories was the dominant interest in the country as realistically only the owner and the few managers, engineers and superintendents he hired were the only people in that giant factory that could vote).

Secondly Americans may not be egalitarian in general(very few people are), but the system itself is and if you think otherwise you've been played by smokes and mirrors game. Egalitarianism is a value of the managerial system which in the US effectively became the established good old way during Eisenhower tenure. There exists a bourgeoisie still and they oppose managerialism out of the same class interests that make the managers oppose them, but they're very poorly organised and effectively get contained by the Republican party that expresses bourgeoisie values but rarely applies them when in power(try telling them to repeal civil rights act or no child left behind).

>But...communism
An ideology created by intelligentsia, the core and origin of the managerial class. It's not there it was disposed because other methods have proven to be more effective at entrenching their rule.

>line goes up more so we better
Absolute cattle.
>>
>>18753139
People legitimately don't understand American squalor.
If you're a fast food worker who doesn't even want to work full time(granted those jobs often don't offer it) in the US you're probably better of in Europe. If you have any kind of specialist knowledge then you're retarded if you think Europe is better.
Let's say you're an electrical engineer.
In Germany, which is a good proxy highly paid western european country the average salary is about 65k euros per year, before tax, we don't even have to consider tax.
In the US it's 110k USD. As you can imagine you'll also be taxed less, but realistically as I've explained you don't have to account for it, you earn at least ~30%(euro is worth slightly more than dollar) more than your euro counterpart in any skilled position you can think of. Usually those jobs will have things like good health insurance etc. included, so don't even try that line of argument.
And then the taxman comes and it turns out the German is a fucking pauper.

What fucks Americans up are their spending habits. There's no reason for car manufacturers not to bring their cheaper models to the US for instance, but nobody wants an economy box ever so they don't. No they'll take predatory interests for "luxury SUV" instead of buying a basic hatchback. But maaaang everyone speeds here(its 70mph speed limit and they go 85 on fast lane omg omg omg).

Says man who spends 11 hours a day on this hellsite.

Nah shes dogwhistling for her chud audience

>>18753139
>Please ignore the endless suburban slums filled with homeless crackhead zombies: datas claims they dont exist
>>
>>18753178
>What fucks Americans up are their spending habits
Yea i was shocked when discovered they dont save very much and spend almost all of what they earn within months. I suppose its the reason a lot of apparently wealthy people and family quickly collapses into poverty if something bad happens on their finances or to the whole american economy
In Europe for a normal people keeping a safe reserve of 50k to 100k for every evenience is a basic safety feature
>>
>>18753234
>just lying

>>18753241
education in saving and spending money wisely is quietly and unofficially banned from american education.
people have been trying to MAKE it part of our education for nearly a century, as far as I can tell.
