Evil is a tangible, active substance rather than a mere absence of goodness. Real-world suffering, sickness, and malice possess an aggressive, destructive presence that contradicts ordinary human experience, meaning they cannot be reduced to passive metaphors like darkness or blindness. If goodness exists as a distinct essence, its cosmic counterpart must also be a real substance based on the logic of co-equal opposites. Dismissing evil as a simple lack of good is as illogical as calling extreme cold a mere absence of heat while ignoring its physical power to freeze and destroy life.

Furthermore, minimizing evil to "non-being" trivializes human suffering and makes an omnipotent God directly complicit in cosmic cruelty. If a single, all-powerful deity permits these devastating voids to exist, that god must either lack the goodness to fill them or have intentionally designed the universe with structural flaws. Establishing evil as an independent, uncreated substance preserves the moral perfection of a supreme creator, shielding them from any blame or responsibility for the agonizing realities of worldly torment.

God has never envied in his heart. He's never lusted, he's never humiliated the humble or mocked the lowly. He's never comited adultery, he's never stolen what was not his. He has never disrespected the elder or desecrates what is holy.

Can the same be said about you and me? Why do we deserve to not suffer? Stop comparing yourself with God. It is outrageous.

>If goodness exists as a distinct essence, its cosmic counterpart must also be a real substance based on the logic of co-equal opposites.
I disagree. Evil is a corruption of good. Evil doesn't create anything, it can't add. It can only subtract what is good

god outsourced all that shit to man

>>18755447
Evil does create, does a disease not create new germs? You are a spoiled brat who has never suffered a day in your life. Nobody takes the privatization theory seriously, you are retarded for clinging on to it, especially since Heraclitus disprove monism via his duality of opposites

>Evil is not a privatization of good
and 'privatization' is surely not the word you were looking for.

>opposites
Opposites are not equal. Construction is not the same as destruction. Destruction depends upon construction in order to exist. God, by definition, does not select evil. God, also, does not form chaos. Im the beginning, there is chaos, and God forms from chaos. Chaos is not limiting, because it is God's unbound potential. Chaos and nothing are the same non entity, and infinite, unrestricting medium. The absence of a choice is not equal to a choice. The absence of choice is just random, and in that randomality, the choice can still happen, as a broken clock is still correct twice a day. That small distinction gives the choice the upper hand in actualization. Evil, is the result of intentionally bad judgment. Good is the result of God's righteous judgment. Because evil is destructive, it is self defeating, and weaker than righteous judgment. Evil exists as a result of God's desire (not need) to multiply his will.

Evil is not "non-being".

The single, all-powerful deity is making choices. The bad choices are call evil. The good choices are called God. This is why they are named (said) encoded and memorized in to a tree of knowledge, and the evil choices are forgotten/seperated/burned removed forever.
>>
>>18755376
Even though God is complete, our experience of God's complete nature is not. We are experienceing potentials that are not being selected. we are agents of choice. our bad choices are evil, our good choices are God.

You're trying to describe characteristics relating to morality (evil) and putting the definition on to germs, anon. Can we just take a step back for a moment
>>
On the first day, there is nothing and everything. Because chaos is paradox. It's a deep potential of infinite possibilities. Blinding light and pitch black darkness. Undefined infinite paradox.

The first act of creation is almost arbitrary. The agent randomly just says, "light is good". Now a framework is developing. Heaven is not just some place to go to, it is the agency/choice between chaos and potential (water above), and the reality being formed below: water, earth birds, etc. Things start getting defined. When things are formed by willing agents, it's because their form has some sort of utility that is defined as, "Good". Good is being formed by carving away / separating/ pruning / choosing from the unbound potential of chaos. Once something has been selected by agency, which we all possess as living beings, it's defined as good. It's what we move towards (EL). This is translated as "God" but it can also be understood as el, which
(אל) can mean "to" or "toward" in Hebrew, depending on how it is used in a sentence

What we orient ourselves toward and move into is what we call "good".
The old Germanic word gudą (the ancestor of English “God”) meant roughly “that which is invoked” or “that which is called forth.” So one movement is toward the good (el), and the other is calling the good toward us (gudą). In relative terms, something is coming together — like the land on the third day gathering out of the water (potential).

The reason theologians insist that God is already all good is because of the idea of fate, but we don't experience infinite fate, and we can't determine what's going on by measuring everything, and we don't know our fate, so why even talk like that. It's more empowering to accept your role as an active agent, and help create good. I want you to know that the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath and has been given authority to forgive sins. Do not be paralyzed. Pick up your bed and walk.

Germs are in the arbitrary phase of agency. Forgive them for they know not what they are doing. All they do is move to light and eat (for some microbes). They lack the complex systems of communication and reflection needed to know the wider effects of their actions. I wouldn't define their actions as evil, but maybe ignorance, or accident, or random. This seems to be more of a chaotic event that we are in the process of not selecting as active agents. Now, words like "random" cause friction when some people want to talk about fate, but this word is kind of useless. It encourages stagnation and slavery which is not a selected trait by agents. Agents choose empowering language that increase agency. Again, our experience is all being formed from infinite potential, so agents are choosing how to define and experience a paradox of realities. Both are true. We can be either slaves or free. As Sons of God, we choose freedom, thus removing the possibility of slavery, except for the free service of God the Father (that is, the good selections we are drawn to and fated to draw closer to).

This is what salvation means. It is the paradox of freedom inside a predetermined good framework of selections made by agents).

Yes because germs and cockroaches are inherently evil, but I don’t see you saying they are not substances or a lack of anything
>>
>>18755525
>does a disease not create new germs?
no anon a disease is not an agent that can create something. That was an awful analogy

This is all just to separate the idea of evil from chaotic. Privations are movements back to chaos. They are not evil, but should be more thought of as nothing, or random, or infinite potential. Privations are just vacuums of opportunity.
Atheism, anarchy, 0 kelvin, darkness. These are thought of as privations because we have chosen to form light, and move things, and have consistent systems and cultures (foundations/land).

Back to what evil is. Yes. Evil is active, but it's not formed by God. It's actively opposing the good framework that agents are selecting. It is spoken of as “created by God” (Isaiah 45:7) only in the limited sense that it appears as the inverse of what has been formed. This is not so much a privation, as an adversarial spirit. The opposite of a son of God. The inverse meaning (opposing spirit / opposite of shem) that is also there with the Sons of God (Job 1:6). A bizarro world of ideas that cannot cohere, that work against one another, and that therefore cause suffering in agents who have been formed to feel and recognize their good selections.
In a side note, this is related to the third day, when perception of color is discussed as (green grass). Data is not just processed. It is lived, felt, experienced. We can define green as a wavelength of data, but it is experienced as color. In the same way, the incoherent and destructive is not merely registered as information, it is felt as suffering.

Cockroaches are not considered evil, although their chaotic and ignorant nature can cause suffering. If they knew that they were causing problems for you, then they could be considered evil, but they are pretty retarded Anon, so we can just consider them pests. They are certainly not equal in agency and power as some sort of duality would imply. The things OP is defining as dualities to good are all being defeated. Diseases are being healed. Pests are managed. Yes. There is REAL suffering, but it is being defeated. I am sorry if you have had to endure more of your fair share, but you're not going to demoralize me by talking about roaches and germs.

The better strategy is to try and activate good agency, in order to generate more good, rather then try and demoralize agents into believing that evil is insurmountable, and we should all just give up and die.
