How do you react without sounding mad
>>
>>18756512
Sounding mad about what?
>>
>>18756512
Because then you'd go to prison to get r.a.ped by many
>>
>>18756523
In this hypothetical scenario we're both athesits in the sonora desert where nobody will find you
>>
>>18756512
>christians when ask them why you should mix dogshit into their pasta when nobody is looking
>they believe liking pasta is a subjective opinion
>>
>It's another Christtard's "you can't be moral without religion!" thread

Nigga you can't be moral with religion.
If the threat of eternal hell is the only thing stopping you from going around killing and raping, you're a psychopath.

In fact religion does tell you it's fine to have slaves, do genocides, and do all kinds of evil bullshit, because what God demands trumps whatever is right or wrong.
That's why religion and morality are mutually exclusive concepts.
>>
>>18756512
I've never heard someone who believed in objective morality be able to define what they're talking about. It's an circular ring of definitions: morality is what you should do and what you should do is what's moral.

Moral statements are best interpreted as commands/requests: they express the will of the speaker for you to do or not do something. Unless you explicitly tie them to some specific objective value, in which case "moral" and "should" become basically a variable defined in light of the chosen value.

If God looked away for one moment, would christians immediately start murdering each other?
>>

>How do you react without sounding mad
"that'd be pretty retarded of you, you'd go to prison and get your life ruined. also you'd have to live with the guilt of killing a random ass stranger senselessly. plus there's a good chance you won't come away unscathed, possible i might have to kill you first in self defense"
> we're both athesits in the sonora desert where nobody will find you
"us cooperating will help us get out of the desert much faster, you trying to kill me will just make you exert all energy so both of us will end up dying"

it's almost like Evolutionary moral realism is the correct view when it comes to morals. we DO have a base set of (mostly) objective morals, but they don't stem from religiouscuck retardation, just from our base evolutionary upbringing and instincts.

In Christianity you can run up and down the street snapping necks all day and so long as you say "I'm sowwy I wepent!" on your deathbed you're welcomed to heaven with a chorus of angels and sit at God's side for eternity. And that's a good thing :)

Thought of that video where some slag did the blanket disappearing bit in front of her two purse dogs and they immediately started fighting.

Humans are naturally sociopathic. The Gisèle Pelicot case proves that the average man would rape a woman if he gets the chance, and this is in a society with the threat of law, police and prison.
>>
>>18756665
And yet we all went together and created society with laws and punishment in the first place. Enough of us decided that murder is bad that it's illegal across the entire globe.

Yes because it's not in the average person's self-interest to have people around out to murder them.
However people murder each other in legal ways. They support murderous ideologies like nationalism, they support abortion, they cut USAID, etc. They do this when they judge other people's continued existence to go against their self-interest.
>>
>>18756512
Just tell them god told me to rape them first. Since their morality is defined as whatever god says, I can't be wrong.
>>
>>18756512
Well actually it is Christianity that teaches it is ok to snap the necks of the khaffirs. But Atheism teaches that morals are a contract
You should not snap my neck because we sign a social contract. Your books tell you it is ok to snap my neck though which is why Muslims would snap your necks for being Christians.
Hope that helps!
>>
Why do theists not understand that morals in atheism are a social contract between men, while in theism morals are made up by a few ancient men pretending to be a god that they cannot prove exists lol.
>>
>>18756668
that's not an "and yet", that's a "this is exactly why".
>>
>>18756512
These days, putting people into contact with people you can get mad about has become a business.

This is proof that Natural Law theory is correct and religious morality isn't.

>The Gisèle Pelicot case proves that the average man would rape a woman if he gets the chance
>Between 2011 and 2020 while she was in her 60s, she was drugged and raped by her husband Dominique and dozens of other men contacted through the web while she was unconscious
That's horrible, but I don't see how it says anything about the average man.
>>
>>18756512
Even as Christians, we have to recognise that it's a facet of evolutionary psychology in earthly terms. We developed feelings of empathy and guilt as a means of motivating us to keep working together to thereby increase our chances of survival.

Are there people who can ignore their emotions? Absolutely. But they don't tend to prosper. The average person is going to feel terrible if they murder someone, which is a major part of why they don't kill in the first place. Aside from genuinely feeling for the other person, they don't want the hassle of their death on their mind constantly.
>>
>>18756749
NTA but 1/6 of people are confirmed murderers when it's legal given that's the proportion of women who have had abortions. When cultural forces aren't there telling them not to do it, and there's no risk of retribution, people are naturally murderers.
>>
>>18756771
Even by your own metric, you could only claim that 1/6 of people are natural murderers. And, even then, that's likely because they're so divorced from the act itself.
>>
>>18756771
>When cultural forces aren't there telling them not to do it, and there's no risk of retribution
You're forgetting the bit where there's a clear short term material gain.
Whores who abort their babies aren't doing so arbitrarily, they're doing so to safeguard themselves against the personal responsability of being mothers.

>I don't see how it says anything about the average man
One of the things which people found noteworthy about the case is how geographically close the other rapists lived. The husband used some localized chat website and found like 50 men from that same region in France who were willing to come rape his wife. At least three of the men lived in the same village of Mazan, which has a population of 6,000.
>>
>>18756799
Not a particularly accurate sample when you realise that you'd have to be pretty weird to be searching for and finding adverts like these online in the first place.
>>
>>18756811
Lots of pretty weird men around that village then. And that's just the ones who used that site
>>
>>18756799
Your argument is that a 1/1000 ratio is meaningful?
>>
>>18756827
Your argument is that because 1/1000 rural Frenchmen are willing to rape, all men are rapists by nature?
>>
>>18756829
>>18756841
Discount the villagers who didn't use the site, whose libido is low due to age, and who decided not to rape because of fear of law, and yes the 1/1000 figure is pretty significant
>>
>>18756853
What if only the village creeps use the site to begin with? It might be a bit like how only quite odd people use the internet at their public library these days.
>>
>>18756853
>discount people who aren't actively trolling for x, you'll only find people seeking for x!
Genius
>>
>>18756512
Yeah you could literally just do that except I would fight back and you’re a bitch
>>
>>18756861
>>18756865
We're talking about just this one case here, and it's limited only to men who knew the site existed, who knew the husband's thread existed, who lived close enough to him to meet him and who had no qualms about raping his wife.
>>
>>18756946
Yes. Men who knew the site existed were likely a little creepy to begin with. It's a biased sample
>>
>>18756957
Now imagine all the creeps who didn’t know the site existed, or who use other sites. In Serbia they recently shut down Telegram communities where tens of thousands of men were sharing revenge porn of women and shared suggestions on how to rape them. There are also rapey men who don't use these sites at all, they just rape their wives
>>
>I'm like going to kill you
okay go ahead and try it
