I detest your religious practices and rituals, even as He detests them. If I were to ask you, "Where did Jesus command all this?" instead of answering me sincerely, you would begin to burn with great rage. In this is proven that you are no different from the Pharisees.

Know this: when anyone faced with cognitive dissonance does not submit themselves to the truth and let it humble them, they prove that they are not of the truth.

Do not think that I have authority of my own. A prophet has authority only as far as they are speaking the truth. If I say, "I am a prophet," do not listen to me. But if I speak the truth, even if I never said, "I am a prophet," know that God has spoken to you.

With your lips you honor the dead prophet, but seek to silence and put the living prophet to death. Why is this? If there were to rise another like John the Baptist, would you listen? If Jesus were to walk among you and not perform miracles, would you believe? Surely, you would call Him a heretic and condemn Him to hell, just as you people do to me, for this is what you love to do.

You serve the second beast, and so naturally, your desire is to please the first, that is, governments, laws, and authority. Tell me: where did He command us to litigate behavior through governments and laws? Surely, you know: the wicked litigate the wicked, and those who are of God are accountable to God alone.

"My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place."

The law is fulfilled in Christ; become transformed into His likeness, and the law is fulfilled in you. What good is it to follow the law externally, yet internally be in rebellion against it?

See, if the law were merely a set of rules and commands, these do not address the heart. To become able to follow the law naturally happens through the transformation of the heart. The one who truly loves his neighbour does not need to perform love; they follow the law naturally.

For this reason, it is said, "Make a tree good, and its fruit will be good." The true law is not a set of rules, but a state of being, revealed in Christ: love, compassion, justice, mercy, faithfulness, humility, and impartiality. These are what the Father seeks, and someone who lives by all these will live according to the law naturally.

For this reason, no one can escape His perfect law. On that day, even your own being will testify against you. Though you performed love, you hated; though you performed generosity, you were greedy; though you performed justice, you showed partiality.

Love the truth above all, and let it shatter the self and its justifications into pieces. Let the light reveal the contradictions, and let the Father clean the inside so that the outside will also be clean.

In this, the law is perfected: that you stop letting the self and its desires sit on the throne of God.

What are you talking about? It's so cringe when spiritual babes decide to stand up and start lecturing the elect.

"To this they replied, “You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!” And they threw him out."

Thank you for proving my words true.

you are correct anon, good posts. In regards to the religious practices and rituals I would say that some of them, depending on the denomination/who it is beig done by, are being done out of love for God and others such as the various monastic and mendicant orders that exist or liturgical intercessory prayers on behallf of others, the departed or even whole nations.
While there are some Christians who are wholly performative and think that salvation is doing the correct rituals or having correct doctrines, I think many Christians are not like this.
In response to "Where did Jesus command all this?" I think some would say that their traditions and practices are ways of following the two greatest commandments or to incorporate the teachings of the sermon on the mount into tradition and lifestyle, to live the teachings.
