How do you promote the Catholic Church to non-Catholics while at the same time saying that it has been infiltrated and subverted? What are some arguments?
>>18765743you don't, the pipeline involves recruiting people who are already Catholic but don't like the current Pope
>>18765746Are you SSPX?
May as well be Orthodox at that point
>>18765743it doesn't matter that their positions on the church are incoherent. they just want disgruntled christians to join their side and give them money
>>18765743>>18765746You have to disentangle religion as an identity and/or a 'second ethnicity' and religion as an internally consistent belief structure.SSPX and Sedevacantism are for people who don't like the Catholic Church as it actually exists, as decreed by the authorities upon which whose legitimate succession - the Pope as the Vicar of Christ and the successor of St. Peter - rests the validity of the idea of the Catholic Church in the first place, but are still attached to the idea of being "Catholic".It's kind of like the horseshoe theory of being a Unitarian or a Reform Jew, but for a radical "fork" on an inherently centralized denomination. Internally coherent theology doesn't really play into it IMO.
