>Emperor Aurangzeb rules over nearly all of India during the height of the empire until various jeets like the Marathas and the Rajputs keep rebelling but he manages to beat them multiple times>Aurangzeb suddendly dies of old age and is succeeded by a bunch of retards, each one more incompetent than the previous>his son Muhammad Azam Shah takes power but then gets instantly killed by his older brother Bahadur Shah I a few months into his reign but Bahadur then proceeds to lose much of his lands to the Rajputs and faces rebellions by Sikhs until he randomly dies>his eldest son Jahandar Shah has basically no power and is about to lose his throne to his younger brother but he gets helped by a noble named Zulfiqar Khan and his brothers who plan to split the empire, but after winning he kill his brothers and becomes a puppet emperor. Under his reign he does nothing but drink and sleep with hookers>his brother Farrukhsiyar then overthrows him with help of the Sayyid brothers, he flees to Zulfiqar's house but he turns him over and Farrukhsiyar kills them both, Farrukhsiyar then rules a puppet emperor constantly getting pussy-whipped by the Sayyids, he then continues fighting jeets and gives the British the right to trade in Bengal while the Sayyids make treaties with the Marathas. Eventually the Sayyids overthrow him with their Maratha armies and kill him>they instate two puppet emperors who rule for a very short time. The first one, Rafi ud-Darajat ruled for a very short bit until he randomly died of tuberculosis, he was then followed by Shah Jahan II who died almost instantly into his term also from tuberculosis>they instate Muhammad Shah, who overthrows them and most of them die shortly after. He keeps getting his ass kicked by jeets multiple times under his reign and loses most of his territory to them
>eventually the Afsharid emperor Nader Shah shows up to Mughal territory fight some Afghans, he sends a letter to the emperor telling him that he was fighting Afghans but his envoy gets killed by a tribal chieftan>he then conquers a bunch of land, including Delhi, at some point the jeets there hear a rumour that Nader died so they begin massacring his soldiers. After hearing this he begins to start massacring everyone in there and loot everything in there>Muhammad Shah then had to beg for mercy so Nader wouldn't kill him, he then gave him his imperial throne and gave him his jewels, his elephants and basically the entire Mughal treasury, which made the Persians so rich that they stopped taxing for 3 years after that.>he then kept getting his ass kicked by the Maratha jeets for the next years, losing more land until he got invaded by the Durranis.>his armies manage to defeat the Durranis at Manupur but he lost so many soldiers that he locked himself in his house and cried himself to death>his son Ahmad Shah Bahadur was a literal retard who couldn't even read and only cared about sleeping with women and made Safdarjung his vizier, Safdarjung got into a conflict with some other faggots and eventually revolted outside of Delhi with the help of the Jats, the Mughals and the Jats fought in Delhi and the city got fucking destroyed>he then made Imad-ul-Mulk his vizier, the vizier then sough assistance from the Marathas to fight the Jats, Bahadur then tried to kick him out and reinstate Safdarjung after he kept hoarding money but Imad-ul-Mulk got help from the Marathas to fight Bahadur>the Marathas and the vizier then defeated his army and raped all of the women (about 8000) in the palace while Bahadur fled to Delhi where he was captured, blinded and thrown into prison until he died
>after having lost multiple times to the Durranis under Bahadur they had lost a bunch of provinces (including Punjab)>Alamgir II then became the next emperor but he barely held any power and the pro-Maratha Imad ul-Mulk was the de-facto ruler by this point so he couldn't do shit>Imad ul-Mulk then went to Punjab and overthrew the Afghan governor, who wrote to Durrani telling him to invade the Mughals, Alamgir had so little power that he also invited Durrani to come invade so Imad ul-Mulk could fuck off>the Durranis quickly invade and conquer most of whatever remained of the empire while the Marathas went to defend them but they were quickly beaten by Durranis and left>the Durranis then went into Delhi and sacked it, killed a bunch of people and forced Imad ul-Mulk and everyone else to give him all of their possessions>he then returned and sacked it again later>the ruler of Bengal, Siraj-ud-Daulah then tries to kick the British out of Calcutta but fails and gets betrayed by Mir Jafar and dies, making Bengal eventually become British>the Marathas, with help of Imad ul-Mulk kick out the Afghans, conquer Punjab and then sack Delhi>by now everyone hated Alamgir II and he seeks an alliance with Durrani. Imad ul-Mulk now wants to kill Alamgir and his son Shah Alam so they wouldn't depose him but his son flees to Bengal, Imad ul-Mulk then stabs Alamgir to death.>Imad ul-Mulk then places Shah Jahan III as emperor while the Marathas loot everything>the Durranis get pissed and invade the Mughals and the Marathas and recognizes Shah Alam II as emperor while he was fighting against Mir Jafar in Bengal until he got BTFO'd by the British and went back to north India briefly until he returned to help Mir Qasim but lost again and the British took control of Bengal
>he was then stuck in Allahabad for years until the Marathas let him rule Delhi as a client, they then fought Rohilkhand but he later fought over money with Mahadaji Scindia, he then sieged Delhi before leaving>the remaining Mughal Empire was now facing constant revolts from the Sikhs, his vizier Majad-ud-Daula was collaborating with the Sikhs and lost him thousands of troops, who kept kicking their asses up to the point where the Mughals only had Delhi, the Sikhs then sieged Delhi and the Mughals had to give them a good chunk of their revenue to survive>Shah Alam II then arrested his vizier Majad-ud-Daula and recalled his general Mirza Najaf Khan (who was the only person keeping the Mughals alive at this point) but later reinstated Majad-ud-Daula, who fucked up his army>the Rohillas under Ghulam Kadir then invade Delhi and capture it due to the Marathas fucking up, they capture and blind Shah Alam and instate Jahan Shah as emperor while they killed and tortured a bunch civilians until the Marathas show up and kick them out and Mahadaji kills Ghulam Kadir, restoring Shah Alam as ruler>the British conquer Delhi from the Marathas, by now Shah Alam is just a blind old man without any actual power but he keeps his titles until he dies>he's succeeded by Akbar II, who had no power and got pussy-whipped around by the British>the final emperor was Bahadur Shah II, who was very old. He mostly sat around until the Indian Rebellion when a bunch of sepoys came and declared him the emperor of India and asked for his support against the British so he and his sons joined the rebels>he rules over Delhi while the sepoys kill Brits for a short time until the British conquer Delhi and capture him, they arrested him and then exiled him to Burma where he diedthe end

And no he didn't actually beat the Marathas, he played whack a mole with them for 20 years while they built big forts up in the mountains which were essentially impossible to siege when they ran up to the top of one.But yes the Mughals were essentially well on the way to collapse once Karnal and the Sack of Delhi played out in 1739. But they did a pretty marvelous job of cosplaying as the Eastern Romans and hanging on as a zombie meme state until 1857.

on top of all that, the Mughal emperors were less than pleased with Indian Muslim converts as they were not allowed to take them as slaves, nor could they collect jizya tax from them. they were despised and forbidden to enter palaces and government buildings, which even high caste Hindus could enter.
