Islam is like a natural antidepressant. Ever noticed how Muslims don't even flinch if they are fined 300k by a Western authority because their kebab shop is infested with mice and cockroaches? They don't even care. Even if they get another 10k fine in unpaid parking fines or for scamming the tax man it won't phase them. When everything is in Allah's hands, when everything is willed by Allah, why would anyone get fatigued and stressed with difficulties that crop up in life? You just ignore them and carry on. Muslims will be handed a life sentence for chopping someone up with a machete during road rage and they just shrug their shoulders and accept it. If a Muslim gets ill he doesn't sit there wallowing in self-pity he just takes his treatment and continues to be diligent in his worship.There's a certain freedom that comes with Islam. The idea that ALL problems of life, all difficulties, all stressors just wash over you as you leave it all up to Allah and submit every faculty over to Allah. You don't need pills or alcohol to numb the pain, it's similar to when non-Muslims say things like "whatever will be will be", "if that was meant to happen then..". Notice how Muslims are never on pills for depression. Even in Palestine you don't see Muslims swallowing tablets and liquor to cope with their pain, they get on camera and cry and cry to Allah and do more and more diligent worship.If your house collapses around you? no big deal, Allah will build for you another home. If your business collapses? Allah will open up bigger opportunities for you. There is no giving up in Islam. No other system has this completeness that allows adherents to just coast through life safe in carefree assurance and confidence that better days are always around the corner and that the best is yet to come in Paradise.

Arranged cousin marriages are 100% halal and the most common type in Arab/Persian/Caucasian regions. 50% of marriages in Pakistan are between first cousins. I doubt the same "anti-depressant" label applies to Turkic nations since they are deeply opposed to inbreeding.
