Beckham is pure fun. A local theater showed it for free recently during the World Cup and it was fun to see it with a good audience. Haven't seen the other two but if you want to see Keira in a Russian kino look no further than Anna Karenina.

Atonement is my favorite of his novels (that I've read at least ... lol). I'd have thought it difficult if not impossible to translate successfully to a film but Joe Wright and his screenwriter did it. Brilliant film in all respects. They absolutely nailed the library scene.

I still haven't watched it precisely because I just can't imagine the movie being anything like the book. Don't spoil it, maybe I will since you say it's good. I don't think Briony atoned worth a fuck but I also don't hate her. But it took weeks to come to that conclusion. The ending of the book is just like a fucking anvil dropped on your head and it took me at least a whole day before I could see through my seething rage.
