>>7682147Ussually when you paste your sprites onto other pixelart backgrounds with different sizes they will be uncompatible, and scaling one to fit the other will end up fucking the sprites pixel placement, forcing you to make adjustments and end up still with a chopped resultThe most consistent solution i can think of is that when your art is *finished*, you will increase the background image size a reasonable ammount, say, if its 256, make it 4 times bigger. That way you can cut your art and paste it in there, scaling it without suffering significant pixel fuckery and ending up with a superificially aesthetical result.The only issue with this approach is that pixelart purists will give you shit but pixelart purists can suck dick, see image related. Small pixelart scaled in a larger background, unoticeable quality loss.
