To see if your study actually had intention, you have to test the skill you were trying to refine after you did the study. Whether that means drawing a form from memory, something in perspective, applying color, texture, etc. A study without application is like studying for an exam but never taking the test/project. That's not there to make you feel good, it's there to see if you actually understood what it was you were learning. I see many people waste so much time doing studies the wrong way. They just copy without actively trying to refine a specific fundie or skill.
