I have to draw
>>7948639certified nodraw since 2020
>>7948639Why do so many social media artists seem to hate drawing?I swear, many of them can't go three months without breaking down and going on a multi month hiatus
>>7948643culling potential rivals
>>7948643All artists are pre-madonnas
>>7948643Drawing is the epitome of high effort low reward. It's best approached as a side hobby.
>>7948639i want to be good at art after a lifetime of being bad so even if it's only an hour i'll draw even if i really don't want to. i realize nobody in any creative field who's really good at it waited until the urge struck
>>7948639can I take a break from paying taxes?
>>7948639I don't understand the modern obsession with pathologizing everything as a mental health crisis in need of addressing.>>7948702You'd need to earn an income first my friend!
What you really need is a no-pressure side project that helps you to get the day started.
>>7948734For me, it's jacking off
>>7948643I don't come across them in my feed, I deliberately avoid engaging with those types of posts. If you like even one pessimistic post, your feed gets annihilated with misery posting.
>>7948639Fukken kids, man. It's either, all pedal to the metal, 100% grind all the time, if you even think about not using all your free time to draw you will NEVER BE ANYTHING AT ARTOrHonor and cherish your space and if anyone makes you think of drawing when you do not consent to the idea then you have every right to have your psychiatrist up your medications and then you might as well burn all your art and start from square one while cutting the bad feelings out from your flesh You can just draw and have good and bad days without spazzing out over it
>>7948643>I swear, many of them can't go three months without breaking down and going on a multi month hiatus>says this on /ic/ of all placesanon...
>>7948639>Here's when artists should tale a break:>...>When everytime you draw, you can only think it's badI'd be on perpetual break only from the first one on the list...
>>7948639When you spend too much time on twitter and posting random shit nobody cares about
>>7948643>social media artistsThe key is in your question. Neutral or moderate opinions and feelings are are social media death. If someone has a large enough presence for you to know them, they got there by tending towards intensity. Also, regardless of how the artist feels about drawing, catering to a social media following probably exacerbates any related negatives or exhaustion they feel.
My art is pot powered, so every two to three hours I am outside for the next bowlful. Then at my next break I smoke but lie down for a nap, and then repeat.
>>7948671How does one become a post-madonna?
>>7948639I try to keep a habit everyday, even if its just a few gestures, or if i feel really tired even some shapes in perspectiove. However, if im tired to the point of not being able to complete that, i sometimes skip a day, to not be demoralised by shitty results
