I find this definition of a discrete canvas of expressive potentiality <1,0> appealing, although like any emergent structure it requires revision.

Anyway, it is sufficient for in-situ study of simple visual data, something necessary to define the nature of aesthetic persuasion.

My main goal is to create +MATHART, a holistic discipline born from the fusion of the scalable axiomatic permutability of mathematics and the joyful instinctive-communicative ergonomics of art. A kind of semiotics enriched with aesthetics and logic. PERSUASION (the capacity of an arbitrary stimulus to be ergonomically accepted by the mind of a spectator) is merely an appendix of these dynamics, albeit a fun one.

As for the image: it is simply an attempt to reach the most conceptually irreducible form possible for representing a 'canvas' of indeterminate extension composed of CELLS capable of alternating between 0 (black) and 1 (white)*. The simplest possible canvas. This canvas is indispensable for contextualizing my sub-goal of formalizing PERSUASION.

It is not the ideal MATHART form since it relies on definitions that require too many leaps of faith [math], but I believe my proposal is ultimately more intuitive than the canon for achieving the same purpose.

*The specific colors are irrelevant; what matters is the existence of contrast.
