If game is so good for learning art, why have we not heard anyone well respected in art circles recommend it, like we often hear with Loomis for example.
Is there anyone who says they got their start in art because of this?
>>
>>7949618
No one says they got their start in art in kindergarten either
>>
>>7949625
Really? I hear people say they've been drawing for as long as they can remember all the time.
>>
>>7949629
So they drew in games
>>
>>7949618
>appeal to authority.

i feel like digital artists have a sort of inherent flaw that traditional artists don't have, where they learn how to draw entirely through one program's environment, then if there's a major update that changes the program dramatically, or if their program gets discontinued, paygated, or they switch to a different operating system, they're fucked and need OP to reverse engineer a cracked drawing program from a vintage nintendies console.
>>
>>7949630
Sure... but they're not recommending it as a learning method.

>>7949637
>appeal to authority
Yes. You say that as if it diminishes anything I say.
Any book you buy, any course you join, or any teacher you learn under, is an appeal to authority - you want someone that's authoritative on the subject, that's better than you, to teach you well.
Regardless, this is less of an appeal to authority, and more of a trusted reviewer for the product.
>>
>>7949642
I don't see artists recommending kindergarten as a learning method
>>
>>7949618
>If game is so good for learning art
no one said that
>>
>>7949648
>no one said that
I've seen a couple of threads about the Art Academy games over time.

>>7949645
Yes. So kindergarten and this game are on the same level for learning art?
>>
>>7949656
Dunno, but I did I learn the basics of reading and writing
>>
>>7949656
>couple
are you also the kind of retard that points to <1% of the population as a gotcha when talking about the statistical whole?
>>
>>7949656
Who the fuck thinks a game will make you a master at a skill. Did you grow up thinking guitar hero would turn you into a rockstar too? Even the best teacher won't guarantee you'll become one people look up to if that is what you are concerned about
Curb your autism
>>
>>7949677
>Who the fuck thinks a game will make you a master at a skill.
You're the one who needs to stop being autistic.
Good for learning =/= Make you a master.
Also, you're guitar hero comparison is dogshit - guitar hero wasn't literally trying to teach you the basics of playing a guitar.

>>7949670
>I've seen you guys mention these games a few times, but are they that good?
>WOW YOU GUYS!? DO YOU THINK WE MAKE UP A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THE GENERAL POPULATION OF THE WORLD OR SOMETHING?
And speaking of autisim. Just fuck off.

>>7949662
That's nice anon.

>refutes nothing
>feels smart about
At least you didn't go on a spiel about statistics this time.
But still, continue fucking off.
>>
>>7949695

Holy SHIT. What happened to the world where you have to spell out everything??? The fact YOU have only seen a couple threads over time IMPLIES that MOST people DON'T view this as a valid way to study. Pointing to these anomalies as reason to believe that people think they're a valid way to study is RETARDED. I have to believe you're trolling. I've been had. You trolled me. WP.
>>
>>7949702
Yep, you're autistic.
We're in a thread about a product, me asking if people vouch for the quality of the product should be a given.

>B-b-but you said that there have only been a couple
Seriously, shut up. Why does the number of people matter? Even if this was actually the very first thread created for this game, why is me asking if it's a decent learning tool a bad thing?
And a reminder; we're in a thread about the fucking thing.

Those are rhetorical questions by the way, because I don't want to clog up this thread with a single response more to a retard like you. Go obsess of number and statistics somewhere else, austismo.
>>
haha holy shit what crawled up that nigga's snatch
>>
If you have been on /ic/ long enough to have seen threads about this game multiple times you should be good enough to not have to ask about how well this game made for begs can teach
>>
>Sees a guy smashing balls and he enjoys it
>Enters ball smashing thread
>Yo so i've seen two guys in my entire life smash their balls and look like they enjoy it do most people enjoy this?
>>
idk man just smash your balls you don't need permission from people to do something you're clearly interested in.
