I'm trying to learn to draw good stylized cartoon / anthro mice. I'm looking for ones that retain the mouse shape, NOT usual furry/anthro where its a humanoid anatomy/proportions. More like the example picture (Bianca from The Rescuers).

Good examples:
- Secret of Nimh
- The Rescuers
- Timothy from Dumbo

Can you post any more examples of this style of mouse character, or name/link any artists who regularly draw these types?

And the second part of the comic, just because it'd be lame not to post the puncline.

I was hoping someone would know some artists who also draw/have characters in this style or more modern examples.

He has humanoid legs and not much of a truly mouse shaped body.

>He has humanoid legs
Ah, so the legs are going to be the main defining factor.
If rats are fine, there's the rat from the Charlotte's Web animated film, and if I'm remembering the film correctly, he finds a spouse as well, so that's 2 rats to look at.

Oh, and try the mice from the Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit Animated series, particularly The Tailor of Gloucester

When I said cartoon mice I meant more in-line with animation/cartoons.

The body as a whole differs, not just the legs, but the legs are a large focus for sure. The body tends to be more pear shaped and the arms/front legs tend to be differently shaped in a way as well.

I do remember the rat from Charlotte's web. He is a good example. I haven't heard of the other and will look into that. Thanks.

sex with mina the hollower (she's a good example of a 'modern' cartoon mouse.)

I love my pet mouse, I hate how every mouse in media is anthro and not a real one.
