I'm currently stuck in an unpaid internship and I pend most of my time doomscolling because I have nothing to do. I cannot draw because I will be seen (I usually switch tabs when someone arrives). When I come home I feel awful for wasting 7 hours of my life.Do you have any tips on how to make a better use of my time?

look at art. construct your feed so you're doomscrolling through art instead of random bullshit
Unironically draw shapes in paint. You have to make very concious decisions about each line. I like to draw the outlines of shapes. Only the silhouette of the form. That way your brain learns to more easily see and draw the shape as a whole. I use a website that shows you simple shapes and even curved cylinders from different angles. The next step is to draw the outline of forms attatched to forms and then hatch them to show how the forms connect. Because you focus less on the drawing motion and more on the understanding i find this to be a very usefull excercise. You prohibit your brain from entering autopilot by having to use a mouse. Dont expect it to look great, but it will definetly improve your drawing with a pen. I do this at work all the time when I can. Only a 5/10 onnthe fun scale though
You have posted the same thread in the past.

>>7950819Collect a bunch of references and take your time observing them. When you have time off from work, draw them from memory. Look at lots of art. Bring some manga or comics to read on your break.Do origami?
>>7950819> grab an object> rotate it in your hands, pay close attention> close your eyes> rotate the object again, follow the rotation with your imagination> stop rotating> concentrate on how to object should look, open your eyes and see how close you gotit's better if you draw it later from imagination too
How much does your office actually care, as opposed to it being in your head? Working in these retarded corporate jobs, people probably wont care if they see you sketching for 10-20 minutes, especially towards the end of the day. I get my thumbnails and scripts for my comic done or look them over while in my wage cage. Sure they’re unintelligible, but they work>>7955445Honestly, that was probably me. I made a thread a bit ago when i was doing my paid internship. I get how people feel, you sit down doing meaningless work for 8-9 hours which saps your energy, and its harder to make your art afterwards. I can draw 8 hours on the weekends, but its harder most during the week. Id kill to get published, im nearly 23, i cant do another 40-50 years of jewish daycare
