OK, how's your progress going?. I'm trying to create appealing videogame character designs that aren't boring. It's the hardest part cause I also want to change the main characters vibes.
Here's another one. Trying to create gameplay mechanics that are actually fun to play instead of the generic visual novel format.
The younger sister.
The sketch for the older sister. It's the last character and I'm struggling with this one the most to get the right vibes.
I forgot to mention. The main antagonist is "Tim Sweeny" Ceo of Epic Games in the goon corner.

I'm ashamed of how little I've drawn this year, I notice that I have gaps of many months without drawings between may of last year and todaya pattern I'm starting to notice is that I draw a lot in october and november, both 2024 and 2025 had a shitload of paintings, but then I stop drawing for the first months of the new year

There isn't really a b4 because I started doing digital stuff only a couple months agoI did a lot of NSFW sketches back in April, I don't know if I can say that I have improved at that, right now I can't come up with better camera angles and subjects/poses than I did back then, kinda like a musician's first albumMy sketching is much faster now but I haven't done a real linear in ages, mostly because I don't feel like the subjects are worth more effort than being spit on paper, i am trying to draw kind of cool stuff like a big shark fiighting a dragon cuz maybe thats what i need 1but idk Ididn't finish it its just whatever lolI also didn't really "improve" at painting, I just learned about llight but my colors suck and looking at palettes limits my creativity to settings I have seen them used in before, it's jus t not fun at all, I would like to be an illustrator an d it's probably the only way I could ever make a modest living with art but I am not on the right trajectory at all

But my main problem with the book is that It's the confusing sophistry used in a book for begs. It's one of those books where the description of the action tends to be more confusing than the actual action. You're better off with perspective drawing handbook rather than that. TL;DR: Perspective made easy is overrated as hell, and too confusing for begs.

I don't know about improvement, but I've been doing a very thorough study through Jack Hamm's Head & Figure book. Basically doing a couple of drawings from it every day (as close to the originals as I could perform) for well over a year now, just as a routine thing.I just recently finished it, which feels like a major milestone in my art journey, but also feels a bit bitter sweet, since it had become something of a nice habit I'd practice each day, as a warm up or just something to do.I'm proud that I stuck to it, and finished what I set out to do, because regardless of results or gains, I think determination and consistency is something equally (or more) important.According to my quick search, there's over three thousand drawings in the book, so that's how many drawings I've done, I guess? I'm not bothering to count, haha.
