>Post on social media>barely any views>one or two likes>sometimes only 4 views, 3 are mine checking engagment>return to deviant art for the hell of it>get loads of views wothin a few hours>10+ faves>4 new watchersHoly shit, Deviantart may have took a nose dive, but its still working.
So true! The best art is posted there! You should follow me! We can trade art! Best community!
>>7953631Is it still feeding your art into their slop machine, are they still being flooded by slop images? If so, even if it's a better experience than twitter or insta, I'm not returning - it's the principle of the thing.I'm glad you're happy though, anon.

>>7953674The whole internet is being fed at all times no matter where you post it. It really doesn't matter, AI has proven unable to make real new art that passes for an artist's genuine production even with loras and shit. It just looks AI.As for dA, yeah, the galleries and groups features helps a ton in getting seen as autists can check other autists galleries for new faves. I have a couple old niche fandom things and keep getting a dozen new likes a day just by circulating that way.
>>7953631It's the only site I post to atm.
>>7953631I only use deviant art for niche degenerate pornography.
>>7953674What this anon said>>7953691Also, what ive learned being a porn addict is that your never satisfied. Im not even uloading porn or fetish shit. It is fan art though. What I gather, people will always want new art. Be it from a machine or a human, as long as it captures their attention.
>>7953631>>7953672The fetish autism acts like a filter that renders the ecosystem free from corpos, e-celebs, and normies. Without them burying everything, basic tags like "OC" or "animation" are actually visible. Anime and comic cons used to be viewed as weird cesspits for cringey losers too, and what happened when they went more mainstream? They lost their soul. Yeah there's a mountain of issues DeviantArt has but it's the only site that feels like you're not just throwing pictures into a void.
DeviantArt went to shit after they have been acquired by Wix. I already quit when they tried NFT scams.
>>7953758all the interenet sucks now even here
>>7953631Its gay.It sucks.It blows....I still love it though.
>>7953875this
>>7953875people suck now more than they ever didweirdos were just cringe back then, now you have to be careful if they don't show up at your house and gun you down for implying you didn't like their horsecock femboy gay pansexual wristcutting humanized tank porn
>>7953631deviantart has a lot of /pol/tard and reddit arguments, and a lot of "memes" made by gen alpha, but it's the one place left that specialized in general art for all skill levels. it seems like most platforms for art these days are either shitty algo-based twitter clones with lossy compression or they're tailored specifically to furry or anime girls. i post most of my art on itaku.ee these days, and i host the big stuff in mega links, but i still regularly use deviantart for a lot of nerd stuff.
>>7953631Deviant art is kind of like /ic/ but not nearly as bad
>>7953631>>7953691I noticed. Is how the old internet used to work without algorithms. I cant believe I forgot about it. Its really the asnwer to the algorithm problem having it decide for you. As it kills so many artists from being discovered.Being able to follow a group or even follow someone elses favorite folder is how discoverabiluty used to be found. Outsourcing it to users instead of some esoteric code made by some pajeet.I take it these mass social media algos are designed the way they are for political purposes. Leaving it to the masses creates things they cant allow.
