I completed week 1 and week 2 of peter han traditionally and I wanted to fully complete peter hans course but sadly I dont have all of the other materials that I need in order to fully complete it. I can't buy them online because I live in a inaccesible area and I cant get them in real life either because I am so far away from the places that sell those. Besides, the other materials seemed a bit too expensive for me (It might be cheap for you but not for me because I live in the third world).I think I would be okay with doing it digitally as long as I dont press the undo button. It's not even a question of willpower as pressing undo requires a choice, and a choice requires willpower. Its just a matter of mindset instead. If all else fails, im just gonna do drawabox just doing lesson 2 as I already did lesson 1 and the 250 boxes challenge.
>>7961211You should talk with your mom about this stuff.
>>7961226Bro, I am an adult not a little kid. Besides my family is kind of poor too, and that does not answer my question as well.
>>7961226Also, I dont even know where would those materials even be sold at?
Fuck this, Im just going to use my brain instead and explore it and experiment it with this new idea to see for it myself. Wouldve been less time wasting than this.
>Im just going to use my brainbig doubt
>>7961235whatever
>>7961211Yes it's okay to do it digitally. I took the course off CGMA with another instructor and asked him this question and he literally was drawing in photoshop anyway with the same exercises. You can do it digitally, it's all the same thing. You do not need to use a pen and copic markers.
>>7961274email proof so you know it's not a larp and can be assured
>>7961274Since you took it. What is dynamic sketching really? Is it to improve line quality? 3D spatial sense? Accuracy?
>>7961314It's the best class you can take if you want to improve your form and observation skills. All of what you said is taught. The only reason(s) you'd want to draw trad anyway is to sketch on location at museums (unless you want to use an ipad) and to grow confidence with not spamming/double tapping your ctrl+Z when making lines.
>>7961314It's just Basic Construction drawing for beginners. There's also a version for kid: Fun with a pencil by Loomis Andrew, How to draw Cartoon Animation by Preston Blair.Overall it's good but I'd take Preston Blair any day because it's more fun.
>>7961211You can, in this course he talks about miliage all the time, miliage is the goal hereBut..Use tools that simulate the characteristics of the course materials as closely as possible, it's a felt tip pen right? So... No erasing, no undos or at least force yourself to not use more than 2 undoes, black solid brush, nothing like graphite or something elseGood Luck and Have Fun!
op getting crabbed hard
Why does the zoomer fear the pen
>>7961586I do not fear the pen, in fact I like the pen it's just that I dont have the other things.
>>7961629paper? the copic markers are optional btw
>>7961638what about that white gel pen at week 1?
>>7961657skip it, also they are like $3. you really can do all the rendering/texture in pen if you want the copic/gel pen are just extras and arguably add some visual interest if you want to make your stuff pop more.
>>7961668Bro, didnt I already mentioned this? I'm not from the usa, lol. im just some brown guy from a third world country. From where I live, a dollar is 100 in my country's currency.
>>7961668also, week 3 requires that.
I think you're coping anonI'm also a thirdie and can get pens and markers and paper, just chinese ones instead of the expensive ones
If you completed Peter han using traditional why the fuck are you going back at it again? The point is you should be slowly internalizing the sketching phase into your brain. Another perpetual beginner autism damn
>>7961211Holy shit, was googling Peter Han, and found out he’s sick. From the gofundme page (can’t link here):>Peter recently was diagnosed with a rare Autoimmune Disease called Miller Fisher Syndrome. It's a one in a million chance kind of rare.
Not OP but since we're on the topic of peter han, I'm doing his dynamic sketching course right now and should I skip week 1 or is it really important or something because he stresses doing it over and over until you get it perfectly but I really find having to trace a line that goes across the entire page perfectly 8 times really fucking hard and tedious. I feel like this assignment was designed for "I can't even draw a straight lline/stickman!"fags to build a foundation off of. I've been drawing for a while now and I'm mostly interested in this course for learning form better
>>7962508No, I specifically said that I already did week 1 and week 2 but not the ENTIRE COURSE YET
>>7962519that was a about a year ago and he's doing a lot better now, thankfully. he talked about it on his youtube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoKQl4dnPUI
>>7962663if it's hard and tedious you should do it>I feel like this assignment was designed for "I can't even draw a straight lline/stickman!"dynamic sketching was originally made for intermediate artists
