What does "making it" mean to you?Honestly I never really intended to make a living off my art, even through comms, and I definitely never intended to get a corporate job "in the industry". I'm just in it for the legacy. I want people to remember my art and remember who I am. I want people to fall in love with it and be inspired by it. As long as I'm able to do that then I don't care about the money.I know that some other people won't even care about that much, and they're just drawing purely for themselves and their own satisfaction. What are your goals?
i just don't want to die unknown

>>7961303Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to be a fat slob getting obese out of my own art. I want to share it to other people as well if i can.

>>7961293>What does "making it" mean to you?Living off my art.
Making it is just having alot of people reading my comic. I dont really care about money, i just wanna write and draw a story good enough that people connect with and think is interesting. Preferably trying to get into the industry with like Image comics or another publisher would be the best option to me, especially cause i spend so much of my time at my goy dayjob, not being able to draw. The "dream" would be getting movie adaptations, but thats a tier above
Fun things are fun.
>>7961293Getting rewarded for all the pain and suffering I unjustly experienced through my life. Even just 1%
That I will be good enough to illustrate all things for my game. Character sprites, CGs, environments, and more. And of course the game selling like hotcakes. Can't really make it without the money part.
>>79612936 figure senior *art position*i am ngmi btw
>>7961293When I started drawing almost 10 years ago I just wanted 1k followers. Then 10k then 30k and so on. Around 30k I felt for the first time that I had "made it" since I surpassed a lot of my inspirations and fellow artists in followers. Now at 160k that's more true than ever but I don't care about that anymore. It changed to money at some point. So then I wanted 300 dollars a month which I got easily and quit my job. At that point I felt I had already made it but it kept shifting like before. I wanted 1k a month, then 2k and so on until I'm where I'm at now 5k living comfortably and now I want 10k a month.I think every artist just wants to have fans though and make a successful series, whether it be a game, comic or series.

>>7961684can't ill get bannedit's mostly porn anyway if you actually careit is nice that my subs care about my characters and world building though and always ask for more non-porn drawings and story.I always imagined that's what I would want from a successful series/project. People engaging, asking questions, asking for more, making fanart, and yet I have to be honest I don't really care about it now that I have it
I don't wanna make it. I just wanna-
>>7961293Being remembered forever for my art
Being able to make something I see in my head to a decent degree of accuracy and being able to do that consistently without having to look up a bunch of tutorials or references.
>>7961293Money.I want money.
>>7963155Then you picked the wrong fucking field. There are many other better ways of getting money.
