How do you get over the fear of not being good enough? I find that once I realized im getting near the end of a piece and may be time to share with others i get idk fearful. Pic related is something unfinished from today to understand my skill lvl
Head study I did
I am also stuck in study hell too but here's another
>>7962509what are you afraid of?make it concrete: afraid you won't get likes/validation? afraid that it isn't enough to get a job? afraid of stagnation?a vague fear is easier to handle if you give it a name
>>7962522I guess it's the fear of my art not reaching a certain level of quality that others enjoy. So put it simply I think I am wrestling with perfectionism making it hard to finish things
>>7962509>>7962511There's no "fear", "fear" does not enter into it. "Fear" sort of implies that you're dealing with something unknown or uncertain, but this question is actually very straightforward. You either are good enough or you aren't. It's pretty easy to figure out if you are or not, just look at your own work and be honest with yourself. You're not quite good enough yet, but you're definitely not the worst either, and I'm sure you can continue to improve and eventually become good enough as long as you continue to work at it.
>>7962524that's easy to fix, every once in a while take work from professionals that inspire you and put it right beside your workit will hurt the ego, but it's also a good reality check of how far you've come and how big the gap between your skill and theirs still isin pic related I do it to myself, it's kinda rude to do it to someone else imo
>>7962537Yes some master studies are definitely what's been lacking as of late. I made my best gains doing them then stopped to practice without them. Will get on those soon
>>7962509This stuff can still be fixed in school or by some mentor. Not anonymous replies
>>7962547At what point does something become not fixable
>>7962509Good enough for what? If it's comparing to professional artists or twitter artists who have been drawing for years then don't bother, there are always people who are better than you and started earlier. And if it's about not reaching a big enough audience or likes etc. then it shouldn't stop you from drawing or trying to improve either, since reaching a bigger audience these days can be pretty boring since it comes down to the same 2-3 popular things everyone else goes for.
>>7962511Your fear is healthy and its called reality. If you think this head study is worth sharing then youre delusional. The hair looks like a n64 texture. Keep your head down and keep grinding! Youll be able to post cool shit once youre better.
