>practicing drawing for about a year>haven't notably improved, but at least feel like I'll get somewhere eventually>left some sketches on the living room table on accident>"Wow anon, cute drawings. Did you make these in Middle School?" - my cousinAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHH. She said it with zero malice, it was 100% genuine. I couldn't even respond from the realization of how horrible I still am. I want to fucking quit.Have any of you ever experienced this dreadful moment in your liveS?
>be 0 skill ultrabeg faggot cuck>already this much of an ego
>>7967237Never, actually. Since I've been drawing since I was a child AND hiding most of my art from family, any time they catch something I've drawn, they're blown away, regardless of the quality. Been blessed with a family of nodraws (though my brother is pretty good at graffiti art) so they're easy to impress and don't notice glaring issues so long as I do them with confidence.
>>7967240you need ego to keep going until you get good enough to have fun
>>7967237>sherape
no, i had to come online to find out i was a frog in a well. but wow there’s skill out there. an ocean of inspo, growing every day. i really like it, how shit i am sometimes, because i’d be at loose ends if i didn’t have any further to go. since i started drawing more earnestly, it’s amazing my head hasn’t come off from all the swiveling towards the billion billion things i still don’t know. the fun of earnestly leaping to catch whatever seems most interesting to try at the time never seems to wear out.
>>7967267Same
>>7967237Please anon post your work i wanna see the soul of an adult drawing with a middle schoolers mindset
>>7967237The complete and utter abject humiliation of a genuine comment. Nothing stings quite like it, well, perhaps when you're in a group of people and everyone's calling everyone ugly and retarded but then they say you're smart and pretty. Lmao.
>>7967237>I couldn't even respond from the realization of how horrible I still am.You should have just responded honestly. You didn't draw before, you've only somewhat recently picked it up, you're still not good yet.Seriously guys, there's no shame in not being good at something when starting out. I think as adults, we place waaay too much expectations on ourselves in this regard.
>>7967237Just say that you want to fuck your cousin anon
>>7967237Please post your art so we can laugh at you as well.
