I'm redesigning my site and want to go in the direction of a Frutiger Aero/Skeuomorphism vibe, where, the site currently looks like this: eccomuse.com

What do you think of the logo, the sidebar that holds the logo and the slide bar? How can i improve it?

What do you think about the Frutiger metro infographic i made? How can i improve it, if possible, a friend said the color takes away from the background, but i dont think thats a bad thing
