This is the art in an official Overwatch comic. So you don’t need to be a pro to make it, picrel is like low Int or yet they got a job at Blizzard.

This is some of the better art too
>>

Bro. Go to the beg thread and I quarantee you'll see better art there from like half the people...
>>
>>7967930
Still better than a lot of /ic/ but yeah that's pretty shit. Clearly a diversity/nepo hire. If you're a white man you'll be held to much higher standards.
>>
>>7967934
Nah id say its better than most of /beg/ but wouldnt look too out of place their, fair amount of mmg is better.

>>7967937
And yeah along those lines is true. I see alot of awful looking comics in stores and their always about minorities and their experiences
>>
>>7967930
Comics make you draw people in more than one angle. So you are just a bitching /beg/
>>
>>7967955
What the hell are you talking about? OP pic is just obviously shit. Yeah drawing comics is hard but as a published comic artist, you’re expected to be able to do it well. And you can and should be criticized when you can’t.
And the skill level of OP is irrelevant because even a /beg/ can point out when someone’s art is shit.

>you don’t need to be a pro to make it
Yeah, you just need to be able to make money off your art no matter how bad.
>Pic's Shadman's first nsfw patreon post, he's making money with /beg/ art skills
>>
>>7967930
>you don’t need to be a pro to make it
By making it and getting an actual job, they are a /pro/. They are literally a professional in every sense of the word, they are getting paid for their work.
>>
>>7968055
we are talking about skill level retard
>>
It's just one of many short comics that they share on their website for free. They are hiring hobbyists from their fan community to do these.
I don't see the big deal.

why lie
>>
>>7967930
This shit straight up looks traced. Like mid beg/high beg shit. Who illustrated this? Lmfao. It was either a turdie or a nepo/connectionfag that is being allowed to trace over someone else's work to get "experience" for their resume.

You can't make this shit up

His stuff doesnt look that bad. What probably happened is that either Jerry or Blizzard outsourced to jeets because this panel is extremely sloppy.
>>
>>7968297
Blizzard hired Jerry to pencil, Jerry sends it over, Blizzard sends it to HIVE jeet network, pays 1 penny for slop, then it gets colored. Welcome to capitalism where the weakest link is the best jeet
>>
>>7968292
You know they only saw his name and without missing a beat hired him...
>>
>>7968297
Most likely he just rushed it because making comics be like that
Outsourcing an already outsourced job would be too slow in that industry.
>>
>>7968315
That's my guess as well. They probably gave them (whoever all worked on it) a short deadline and caused it to get rushed, since seasons are like 2 months long now and they wanted to do a quick lore drop or whatever.

nah this shit was outsourced 100% and they just slapped the names of two credible artists on top. this is literally and unironically beg tier shit
>>
>the cat is literally just the copy pasted concept art

then "pro" is terrible word for it, if there are pros that aren't pro.
>>
>>7968883
on this board the diff between adv and pro is just money desu. When you get to high int or adv you start looking at how you're going to make money off this skill rather than pure fundamental grind. It why many of the artists on this board that want to "make it" with art should also learn that "making it" usually requires some amount of knowing how to get the right eyes on your stuff and how to come up with appealing ideas.

In the adult world this is called marketing and being an entrepreneur, but for some reason artists hate those terms cause it implies lack of "soul".

Michaelangelo died being worth 100 million dollars btw. He was a ruthless businessman that just used his art as his product

I'm guessing this was drawn by one person and colored by another.

>>7967930
why are western comics so allergic to stylization? These look like studies, not drawings meant to evoke an emotion.
>>
>>7968301
damn, but arent those inkers basically doing master studies by tracing a pros pencils? Why didn't they produce something good? Can the justdraw-fags explain this anomaly?
