I went through lesson 1 and the 250 boxes challenge. It turns out to be pretty okay if you just managed to follow the instructions. Sure, it is boring but boredom is a frame of mind; just reframe it as something you like to do. As long as you follow the instructions mentioned by uncomfortable then it actually feels comfortable. So, I'm just going to address the elephant in the room. His art. Sure his art looks horrendous but who knows if he actually draws like that. Is that even a certain measurement to gauge how good of an artist you are.Do you realize how shaky that system of gauging is? A professional artist could've drawn a shitty stickman on purpose for fun then you anons with shit for brains mistake it as their actual skill level. Uncomfortable is probably not even that bad of an artist, he's probably just having fun with creating art that he just doesn't care about the little flaws that you autistic man children are so autistically angry about. Also, DRAWABOX IS A BETTER PETER HAN.I've tried peter han before. And it has some stuff that drawabox has. But peter han has never really gets into the why of things, he assumes that you already get his flow. Drawabox on the other hand can explain things in greater detail. It gets into the why and such. So, in conclusion: y'all are just lazy and will want to do everything else but not drawabox. Because you wanted things the easy way. Just do your boxes, bro. It's not even hard at all.
Why bother? Don't you know already people are going to pretend you're Irshad or whatever his name is, shilling his course on this board (even though no one would ever do that) and not engage with you?
For what reason do you seek the approval of swine?
>>7969388I'm not, I'm just saying how drawabox gets badly treated here. Heck, it's even one of ic's recommended resources. It gets treated really badly because of the users blaming anything but themselves. I'm just saying a nuanced take about drawabox and introducing y'all to it.
>y'all
>>7969397It’s called slang
>>7969370Drawabox isn't half bad, but it shouldn't be marketed by people online as dogma or as a cure-all. It's a useful resource but only if you're perspective blind.I think most people would be better off using the marker on glass/plastic sheet exercise from DRSB on cuboid/spherical household objects from various angles OR grinding shapes/forms for a solid month.
>>7969407It’s slang that’s heavily associated with obnoxious tumblr people
>>7969370No usecase
You wrote all this when you could have just posted your work and removed all doubt
>>7969459For all the retards who complain about this easy baby course(because it literally is, and irshad himself treat you like one) just do lesson 1 and the boxes. Never stop doing the l1 warm ups as well
>>7969407slang that was adopted outside the south out of ebonics worship and a concentrated push by tumblr types to replace the misogynistic term "you guys" on the internet with something gender neutral.
>>7969423Some of us are actually just southern, though
>>7969370DrawABox is okay. its decent for a free lesson resource. Especially because it was around before everyone and their mother was making youtube tutorials. The problem is that people on this site treat each course as a end all be all for getting good at drawing and then get mad when it doesn't work out like that. DrawABox isn't the only course on this board with this problem. They also don't follow the 50% rule he states at the beginning wher e he tells you not to grind away lessons all the time and to actually try drawing things you enjoy with the things you've learned from the course. Lastly, the 250 box challenge. People taking DrawABox have jumped into that challenge and tried to blow through it in one day. While IS possible, it's harder than it looks and you're more likely to burn out before you finish. Especially if you're just getting into drawing.
