In you opinion, what exactly makes art generally look "professional" or overall very competent at a first impact both technically and stylistically speaking? I'm not adding this for self pity or anything, but I notice that everytime I tell myself "well, maybe I'm not that far behind them actually" comparing my pieces to the ones of social media artists who have been at tit for years, they either quickly just completely mog me in sketching and technique (real time drawpile experiences with mutuals btw) or put out a finished piece I couldn't for the life of me execute as well with my current actual skills.It's also how I can weirdly tell apart intermediate/clearly amateur art from the one of popular advanced or at the very least high /int/ artists, or why AOT looks clearly significantly inferior than something like Akira or Blade Of The Immortal.
