Judging for my current art skill, how likely are my opportunities of building a steady online audience (around 10-15k followers) and establish myself as a social media artist in the timespan of max 2 years if I post as consistently as I can?

I don't mean in terms of just surface level popularity and fake numbers, I mean in terms of meaningful connections to big artists I actually like, my shit getting reposted on sites like rule 34 or e621, being capable of having my own patreon or subscribestar and fuck off in my private paywalled discord server, having other established artists I don't even care about following me randomly on my blog, etc.

lacks appeal so 0%

Your drawing has soul. I tell the people of /ic/ to just make a game or visual novel to compensate for lack of drawing skill and internet followers. Even shitty art get attention on f95
>>
>>7974084
If you have to ask the answer is you can't.

To properly judge my actual skill level here's a couple of doodles I did this month to not get rusty (Currently under uni exams season) and grow the habit again. I did most of them in under an hour except the FFIX themed one on the right.
>>
>>7974147
skill doesn't have that much to do with it. you need to consistently post works that people like so they follow you and you build an audience.
>>
>>7974084
>>7974147
yes literally 0% sorry champ
>>

Try shading like old anime do instead of whatever you're doing here gabe, it's really ugly and looks Deviantart-tier.
>>
Why does this look like Gabe’s art
>>
Gabe...
Do shrooms or lsd and try looking at art and drawing maybe that would help you I literally don't see any other way for you
Unironically.

I have 6k watchers in Deviant Art and 3.5k in Pixiv and 1.2k in Twitter with this skill level and subject of vidya and anime babes wrestling.

You need to understand what makes people pick up new art and artists to follow and how to brand and present your stuff. Also if you looking for Twitter/Insta/other algo site following you need to understand how the algorithm works.
>>
>>7974147
the problem is that you dont know what you are doing, boil these down to the shapes (if you dont get it, magically turn them digital and blur the lines or squint in your mind) and they look like they were each drawn by a different person
>>
>>7974084
dial back the painting autism, make the shapes you are painting into the clothing and shoes into actual silhouettes that cast shadows, you dont need to turn this into the meta manga-inspired upgraded-anime style with with detailed hair and like armor and flowers shit, but you need actual detail

this is something that i strugglr with myself, i think everybody struggles/wrestles with it to some extent, maybe it comes naturally to women
>>
>>7974260
Anon, you are like the other guy who makes LoL porn.
You don't need to keep posting the same fucking shit every single thread when on this board it's always the same 10 people as if saying you got numbers on social media, which is practically dead and full of bots and has so many countless variables, is not a validation of your authority.
>>
>>7974277
Thanks, I make around few hundred bucks to a thousand bucks a month from my art.

You can if you're willing to sell yourself and lock yourself forever into only making lol funny face comics, like the human and elf series
>>
This is it. This is the last gabe thread I open. Just fucking draw you autistic attentionwhoring faggot.
>>
fuck off gabe
>>
>>7974084
You had a one hit wonder with the Kit boob pic and now you're obsessing about getting popular.
Being popular is over rated. Who cares. Draw for you. It was come organically, the people who follow.

>>7974260
No one cares juju blow it out your ass with always shilling Deviantart and Pixiv both platforms are over run with AI slop and far past their prime.
Don't listen to this guy, he's a broken record and doesn't know what he's talking about. Just an aging Gen X loser who like the sites he shills is past his prime.
>>
>>7974285
Kek, he cope posts the exact same way he does on /v/ and /vg/.

>>7974288
Yes he is. That's his cope posting because any time he gets a hint of pushback / crit he has the attitude of "haters gonna hate" and puts his hands over his ears. He is severely autistic and a narcissist. Just repeats the same shit all the time, search pixiv and deviantart together in an /ic/ archive it always him shilling the sites. For years! He's a joke and hate on every board he posts on.
>>
>>7974440

all the years of telling gabe to fuck off and he made it while you're still here saying the same thing and didn't make it
>>
gabe's problem is taste
when his taste slightly aligned with the mainstream, he got his viral hit
but now he's back to the same unappealing garbage as always, now with shitty rendering on top
>>
>>7975999
The OP's drawing is from late 2024 tho...

Is she a character of yours? I like this smaller sized/toon style.
Now draw her doing an activity I like to see characters doing.

It's a toony anthro version of my main OC Cassia as a platformer mascot game.

Sometimes I wonder if my main human OCs would become more visually interesting if I just permanently turned them into anthros (Poodle for Ferfou and mouse for Cassia are the canon animal species; Cassia would also go from being 4'9" to 2'9" in height lol)
>>
>>7976015
>It's a toony anthro version
You do that style well.
>Sometimes I wonder if my main human OCs would become more visually interesting if I just permanently turned them into anthros (Poodle for Ferfou and mouse for Cassia are the canon animal species; Cassia would also go from being 4'9" to 2'9" in height lol)
I like furry stuff because there is much more variety to design because of different animal species. Humans all look the same and boring to me unless they are styled in an eye grabbing way.

Final uni exam coming soon july 6th

Hideous rendering.

>>7974147
>>7977009
Despite I don't like something, you show good capabilities. I like the one about Final Fantasy IX.

Work more on appeal. You can surely do it.
>>
>>7974147
you are incredibly form blind, many parts are lazy and symbol drawn, especially with heads and arms, probably a foid or autistic man. start drawing from life and stop relying so heavily on photo references and other peoples art as references, those with eyes to see can tell. try to get consistent shapes and proportion, then draw these characters in perspective.
>>
>>7977009
Work on your anatomy
>>
you don't need skill, you need to stick to a fandom and minmax your style based on a certain tasye.
>>
>>7977047
Is 1 year of hard work (6 hours per day, 2 spends on fundies and 1 on master studies) enough to make my art pass as high /int/ or semi-advanced at least if I believe in myself well enough?
>>
>>7977168
really depends on your goals, i was just commenting on your overall skill atp. like the other anon said, with some refinement its passable for a porn/visual novel game, but otherwise its kinda crap. if your goal is to get a bajillion twitter followers and patreon moneys you need to learn some fundamentals and stop drawing from flat, head on perspective, and make some finished pieces. your op picture is a good start but the rendering isnt great and again, forms could be better.
>>
>>7975994
>both platforms are over run with AI slop and far past their prime
That's literally every single website where somebody can post their art.
>>
>>7974084
sorry, that outline is too jarring to look at, not a great look, good eye for color/anatomy, just keep working on your style, try and get more "smudged outline" (as if done with an ink brush pen bleeding into the color) look for your art and you'll be better off. You can only have so much "clownworld" shit going on in your artwork after all. (too much unfamiliar looking shit = puts people off, if it plays with what's already known = much more relatable.) Anyway, online audiences are formed through doing whatever is currently popular/requests and commissions, just how the current art scene online is.

With the exception of the cane man, maybe the wolf and the "scarfed guy", none of the faces match stylistically with the body
If I put my thumb over their face and just look at the body, it's mostly fine, barring some suspicious anatomy like the cane man's forearm length (both forearms), or the strange rendering on the green girl in the OP
>>7976004
Sorry dude but this is hideous and really highlights the face issue I mentioned
>>7976015
Good
>>7977009
Very good
>>
>>7977210
>if your goal is to get a bajillion twitter followers and patreon moneys you need to learn some fundamentals
True, but, if they just draw fotm characters with creative ideas, they will grab eyeballs that way.
Remember, most people don't have the technical knowledge in art needed to rip a piece apart if it has bad anatomy or rendering. If its their fave character and fetish, they drool over that, and nottin else matters.
He just needs to draw Kit a few more times. And maybe trans Jax. Or Deltarune. Palworld 1.0 is coming out soon. You need to stay on top of trends, even if you don't watch/play the subject matter you are drawing.

seething but he is right, in this case his post is on topic and he's a good example of how you theoretically can find a following big enough to live off of if you manage to find the right niche and game/get lucky with the algorithm and social media bullshit.

I've come around a bit on social media clout chasing. Some people just don't have the mental fortitude to even glance at social media, but for some I think trend chasing provides a constant source of material and art challenges. It's not all that different to throwing up a YouTube channel to learn production. If you win the Lotto and your shit blows up. Great. Otherwise now that you've got skills and you can figure out how to transfer them into some other arena
>>
>>7974147
You don't understand perspective and form. You can learn them in several months but still... Currently not good enough.

stop drawing head on/flat and learn perspective and form immediately. you are going to need to unlearn bad habits so get started on that. you have potential dont waste time and energy.
