So I'm trying to create a color palette graph, to learn about color, but I just can't decide which images work and which don't. Pic rel is a study from Med's map, where he uses specific images that have the desired color range and places them on a graph. Could you guys help me create a graph like this? I'll be posting some images I've found that I think will work.
If you want to learn about color then I suggest you look into how optics and the visual system works than learning through artist theory, which imo, is ineffective and highly subjective/personal.
>>7977888I think optics is a useless time waste for an artist.
>>7977888let them learn artist theory so they can have the foundation for the how, then they can lean into optics/physics after the fact for the why to refine the how. If they start with optics without knowing the how they'll just have an abstraction of knowledge without any framework to apply it to.
>>7977888>how optics and the visual system worksOk I forgot to to upload images, gonna do it later but back to the topic. What do you mean by how optics and visual system work? What's the context here? Do you mean like from a medical/physical aspect? If so then how does it relate to the application of the colors in personal works or approaching the subject? I'm a med fag but I don't really understand the anfle here. Would really appreciate some articles/books or other materials on the subject. Also I got the basic grasp of values if that narrows my "tonal" knowledge since color comes after values.
